OK, so I'm 3 weeks into vaping and really enjoying it, and to be honest I can't see myself wanting to go back to real cigs....unless...panic..e-cigs were banned!!!

Initially "Black Cat" from Vapescape was recommended to me but on looking, the vanilla/liqorice thing didn't appeal so I tried a few tobacco/cigarette samples from ParadiseVape but they had a sickly sweet under/after taste which made me wan't to "barf". So I had another look, decided to go with original recommendation and sent for "Black Cat" sample........LOVE IT.....if I didn't know about vanilla/liqorice I wouldn't be able to place it...the flavour's difficult to describe but amazing!!!

The only thing is, I tried it with a blank cart as soon as it came in the mail, and it wasn't til later I discovered (through this site) that not only should the bottle be shaken before vaped, but also there's a "steeping" issue.....

1) Is it really necessary & does it make a difference to the flavour?
2) What's the best way to do this, and for how long??
3) Is it possible that my other samples may be nicer after "steeping"?
4) Is it possible for the "Black Cat" vapour to be any better??? Either way think I've found the one for me lol!!!
5) Does anyone know where I could get a "marzipan" e-liquid sample???

Any help/knowledge on this appreciated.:)

1) Varies from juice to juice but it can make a huge difference to flavour. I ordered some moondrop liquid and to be blunt it was like sucking on a perfume sprayer, really really strong perfume after taste. Now I've left it for about 10 days that taste has dropped significantly but is still there a little. On the pixie juice website I believe it gives you guides on how long to steep each juice.

2) General consensus is to chuck in somewhere dark and just leave it, some people suggest top off (which does make sense if you think about it) and others suggest that just leaving it is enough.

3) There's a good chance yes, you also need to bear in mind that your personal preferences may chance. I tried some of the caramel coffee I bought again last night and I was almost sick.

4) "Better" is a completely subjective thing unfortunately, I know a lot of vapours will mix their flavours together or even DIY their own liquid to get exactly the flavour they want.

5) Here are two fairly well respected vendors with marzipan flavours:

Steeping depends on the ingredients used. Many times extraction alcohols are used and this must be allowed to evaporate. So caps/drippers off for the first 24 - 48 hours after you receive them is a good idea. Then caps/drippers back on and let it steep another 1 - 2 weeks. Steeping is the process of flavor molecules bonding together. So shaking is always a good idea. Please note, this is a general rule and not necessairly adviseable for every juice. Check with your juice vendor for your particular juice.

I had an email from Jason at Vape Escape regarding his juices and steeping, and this was his word (since it relates directly to the Black Cat);

The main difference is that the 30ml bottles are made when the order is
placed whereas the 5ml bottles can have been in stock for 2-3 weeks, so the
flavours have settled and matured.

I would suggest leaving it in a dark safe place for a few days with the top
off and then giving it another try.

Can't really add any more value to the good advice given above, except to say it does indeed make a difference with a lot of flavours.
