Hello I am new to vaping and changed the coil in my evod mega the guy at my local vape store that I bought it from sold me a 5 pack of coils when I first got it a week ago. I changed coil using directions it came with (simple and easy) after it started to taste burnt like he said and it made hardly any smoke and I got liquid in my mouth. After cleaning everything and reassembling it still floods out. The coil that came with it says 2.5 ohm on the side and has two small holes at the bottom and the replacement coils say 1.8 ohm on the side and has one big hole on the side. Did he sell me the wrong coils for this unit? Or am I doing something wrong.

Everything sealed good. After further research on the net iv learned the evod mega uses a dual coil. Is that why the coil it came with have two small holes at the bottom? I assume the coils I got at the B&M are single from the one hole at the bottom. The are made the same except the stock one says 1.5 ohm and the replacement ones I got say 1.8 ohm and has only one hole instead of two. Shouldn't it still work with only one coil instead of two?

No, however you may have had the original top o-ring stick to the inside tube. This would cause you to have 2 pressing against things and might cause a problem.
Also check under the coil to be sure only one seal is present.

The Single, larger hole is the latest design - replacing the older dual coil heads.
