I recently bought a Kanger Evod Pro just to give it a try and it seems the coil is flooding. Gurgling, popping, etc etc. I've checked everything and took it apart and made sure everything was tightened. This top coil design is new to me and I am not sure if the techniques I use to prime coils in my other tanks where the coils screws in to the bottom is the right way to do the same for this tank. Does anyone have this mod/tank (or similar design) that has some good pointers? It could possibly be bad luck with the pre-installed coil, maybe a bad coil. Thanks!

Flooding is generally from user error. Did you prime your coil as the following demo shows? Did you use the fill line, as the demo shows?

This tank does not have an adjustable airflow. Perhaps you are drawing (inhaling) too hard, causing too much eliquid to get to the coil. Perhaps a gentler, more easy draw technique will work better?

Hm. Yeah I primed it that way. I use MTL tanks for all my others so generally I do the longer slow draw naturally. It's still producing vapor its just popping and cracking like crazy. Will this eventually work its way out or am I pretty much screwed on this coil? I haven't had this happen in so long I feel like a newbie all over again.

That's hard to say. You could replace that coil with another to find out, but if it's WORKING, I'd wait unless the noise is upsetting to others.

I remember using cartomizers back in the day which popped and cracked like crazy, which was pretty much normal.

No the problem is there are coils for the

Evod of Protank 1 Protank 2

Protank 3

Aero Tank.

All three coils look alike.

You have a bad coil or The coil was made for another tank.

Well I will buy a pack of coils. I am currently using the 1.0ohm coil that came with the mod/tank so I hope they'd provide the right coil. Lol! But yes the flooding seems a bit more than the little bit of typical gurgling and spitting at the start of a new coil. I have to get replacement coils anyway so no big deal :)
