As I banged out on my FP page today...we need to get the important things done that we all agree should be done...like the House of Representatives finally unanimously branding ISIS' acts genocide. We don't need politics. That's a distraction from the job.
I understand the collective Stockholm syndrome we suffer as a society brought by the intimidation of force. That certainly includes political and regulatory schemes. Even presidents yield to it. We just need to convince folks that fight or flight (evasion) have not failed. That constraints are an illusion. Ingratiation and apologetics seldom dissuade determined usurpers. And that action is possible, necessary and ultimately unavoidable. The hardest chains to remove are those we rest on ourselves.
