Ok so the pet store had no blue foam which is what I wanted, ( I mean they were totally OUT and the assistant said, rather perplexed, it seems they had a run on it ) so I got some Fluval instead - I washed it well and its drying now (air drying) but I haven' t a clue what to do with it..
I tried looking for 'fluval' on search and I got a bunch of stuff that didn't seem to cover what I'm 'sposed to DO with it.
Do I cut some like the same size/shape as the poly fill or like a lid?
A little help here would be appreciated :)

Hey Capt, check out that same search on YouTube...I recall seeing the Fluvall there as well as on these forums..generally yes, make it the same dimensions as the polyfill, but slightly wider than the cart opening..1/4" thick, 3/8" wide, 9/16" long).. as with any pure element replacement it will depend on the density of the product and the usual Atomizer variances...practice practice practice, as with any mod, thats the answer..

Be sure to rinse your foam really well or it will taste nasty. I have some Fluval but I don't know if it's the right kind. The weave is much larger than the Blue Foam. I use a drinking straw, cut a piece out down the side so it fits in the cart, cut a V in the bottom and cut it to fit slightly below the ridge in the cart. Then I cut a small triangle of fluval and rest that on top of the straw (point end down into the straw) after filling the cart. Poke it down a little with tweezers and top off with a few more drops.

Yeah my fluval foam seems to be very 'loose weave' if that makes sense. Looks to me like juice would run right thru it..

Edit: Cut a bit off - slightly larger than the 510 cart and stuffed it in - when comapcted its much more, well..dense I guess the word is. Had to trim off a side quite a bit, and used that on another cart as it was q long.
1st cart maybe TOO stuffed as had trouble shoving toothpick down side to get any juice in lol. Managed eventually.
2nd cart, less foam stufed in was alot easier.
Filled both - vapor production is HUGE, not sure about TH, maybe a bit LESS than with poly (original filler). Flavor seems, a little less strong but with nuances of flavor.
Used a juice I like in cart 1 and one that is just 'ok' in 2nd
Juice1 = not as intense but mucho vapor. Can still taste flavor fine though. Prefer it stronger however.
Juice2 = can actually taste the other flavors purported to be in it now. Improved this juice. Lots of vapor also. Did lose TH tho - this was a bit harsh (but good for a craving vape) and now is not.

Tbh, I'm not having to top off using this as often as with my polyfill..kinda susrprised me but anything with a straw I usually mess up. PTB straw mod + me = disaster lol
Sorry to hear you're attys went 'off' that sucks :( I think a bad bunch got shipped over or something cos others have mentioned this. SO far, mine have been ok.

Hi Guys! :)

I'm using Fluval in my carts. It's the regular, white Fluval (came in a blue box - Water Polishing Pad - and had 3 chunks of it inside, the box says it's for 104/105 204/205 Fluval Filters).

I don't even use the straw-mod anymore. I was not having much success with the polyfill or polyfill with the stirring straw, and I didn't really experience any difference when I tried the pen-spring cart mod.

When I made my first carts with this Fluval, I did put the little bevel cut straws in a few. I honestly couldn't tell which carts had the straw and which carts didn't.

When I refill or top off a cart I stick an opened paper clip into the corner and just drip the liquid near it and it works great. Most of the time, I'm able to just drop the liquid right onto the Fluval and it absorbs quickly, no worries.

An opened paper clip (or three), small scissors and folded tissue or toilet paper - the things that are always next to me these days - how classy indeed

I actually really like the way this white Fluval works. It holds a good 12 drops of liquid and it actually wicks out. When I was using polyfill, the top of the filler material would be bone dry but would be holding a lot of liquid toward the bottom of the cart.

I do seem to be burning through a lot of liquid though. I'm not sure if I'm just a hard-sucking-juice-hog, or the unusually "hot atties" I have are just eating up a lot of liquid

I find the Fluval to be really easy to work with and not much goes to waste. It's inexpensive and the box I have will last a very long time.

The key for me from day one was figuring out how much filler to stuff the carts with. I over-stuffed and under-stuffed... When I got the Fluval, discovering the perfect amount seemed very easy.

I'm finding it doesn't stick to the atty and burn the way the polyfill had been doing. I haven't had one Fluval filled cart adhere itself to the atty yet. Perhaps, it's because I finally figured out how to properly stuff the carts?

In any case, I find it very easy to re-stuff my carts now. It only takes minutes to re-stuff as many carts as I choose.

I do it every few days. (as needed - I don't like to reuse the carts for long periods of time)

I looked for the Blue Foam in a few places, none of the big chain pet stores or Wal-Mart, etc. had it. (lol - CaptJay - a run on blue foam might have been the issue up here as well )

FYI, I had watched videos teaching how to stuff carts after I started using e cigs, and I just wanted something simple. The best video that I found on using fluval was on Ms's T bakery essentials eliquid site. I would pause the video to judge about how much she was using. The Fluval is working out well and it is easy to wash and dry fast. I have an ego and I tried the blue u foam , but flooded the atty everytime. I probally used to little of it. After several trys I just put it aside, and either drip or use the fluval. Hope this helps.

That pink 510 is pretty cute, isn't it? I've seen it at Health Cabin -oops, tried to post a link right to the pink 510 and it got wonky.

I'm not sure who else carries it in pink. I like the colors! :) I'm pretty set on 510 stuff right now though. I've been obsessed with the Janty ego - :p because all I'd have to do is order a battery, the atomizer cone and a charger - really cheap way to do it because it uses 510 atties. I can't even count the number of times I've had the shopping cart loaded and didn't buy it

Dixie, I watched that and tried to stuff the cartridge the exact same way but it always ended up too thick... over-stuffed and after I tried to vape on it the liquid stayed at the bottom of the folded Fluval.

I just cut a strip as wide as the cart, and taller - grab one end of it and squish it with tweezers then shove it into the cart until I feel resistance. I don't push it all the way to the bottom of the cartridge. I hold it in place, pull the tweezers out and give it a hair-cut. It's been working great.

We all find so many different ways of doing things that work for us! Experimenting is fun :)

On the Janty site, for one battery, the usb charger and the atomizer cone - less than $40.00!

Totally wicked sells it re-branded in the same price range, maybe a tad less - here's the thing though! TW sells an adapter for about 3 bucks that allows you to charge the ego batteries in a regular 510 battery charger! The shipping cost is more than the adapter though and they are out of stock on all of their Tornado parts (parts that put together will match and be the same color and I just prefer black). TW calls theirs the Tornado and their complete Tornado kit I believe has an additional atomizer. In both places the complete ego/tornado kits are sold out.

Well, that's an idea! :) I've been using the 902 and the 901 and the taste is FAR superior to the 510 but the TH is noticeably less. I wish I could take what I like from each of them and make one good PV.

I think I'll look into the eGo. I have watched the videos but didn't price out what I would need. I still get a bit confused.
