i have the FLüXomizer™ CE2 SUPREME CLEAR 808 REG 1ml 2.4-2.6 ohm and have filled 4 of them. the first one burnt with mocha java from vapedudes. figured user error. tried chocolate raspberry that one burnt too. still figuring user error filled with mocha java again. burnt. filled with appletini perfectly fine. bot mocha java and chocolate raspberry are pretty dark. appletini is completely clear. is this a common thing? anything i can do to keep this from happening? something i might be doing wrong? thanks for any help

Are the darker juices also thicker?

Juices tend to burn up at different power levels, but assuming you're using standard 808 gear this shouldn't be an issue..well, probably. What are you using?

Thicker juices will tend to wick more poorly and lead to burning. I've filled, gotten burnt hits. Emptied, thin the juice with distilled water, and then had perfect performance.

There are also wicking mods you could try but I wouldn't suggest that just yet.

Darker usually means more flavor sediment/more gunk and more of a tendency to burn up, but not always. I DIY 100% so I can't comment on your juices.

in general I stay away from darker juices because you have to clean them much sooner than you would otherwise. The flavor gets bad quickly. If the clear juice works fine then I think it must be the juice that is the problem.

I think if you get some more juice to the coil you could get some better flavor. Pull the plug and shave off some material to get more space at the wicks.

50/50 dark juices are coil cloggers, for sure. I also DIY all my own juice; and I stay away from heavy, dark juices, for the most part. The enjoyment of them just isn't worth it to me, when I have to completely clean and dry burn after every fill. I used to make a very dark chocolate juice, that was delicious, at first. But it would build up such a huge ball of crud on the coil that it would burn the underside of the neoprene seal, even with the cup seal pulled back, or just using an inverted middle ring, by the time the Fluxo was 3/4 empty.

thank you so much. i guess after these bottles are gone ill try to stay away from dark juices. and until they are gone just stick with a carto instead of the fluxos.

i love the bird in your pic. that is one of my dream birds!

I would just add that the dark juice thing is a general rule, and usually true

But I have come across at least 2 clear juices that had the same issues! And some of my DIY is very dark and performs like clear juice would. So there are exceptions :)

Very true. I make my own coffee extract, which is almost black. But it's not particularly hard on coils at all.
