So I ordered 5 packs of cartomizers (25 total cartomizers) from Nhaler this week. I got the following flavors Ry4, 555, Menthol, Red Mule, USA Mix. These are the new 510 mega cartomizers, prefilled of coarse.

This being my first time dealing with cartomizers, My intentions were to simplify my vaping. I wanted to eliminate dripping, filling up carts and carrying juice around. I was thinking "I can just find some flavors I like, order some when I start getting low and be on my way". Not needing to bother buying juices or atomizers anymore at all.

So yeah anyways, long story short. If I wanted to do what I mentioned above, apparently it would be an expensive way to vape. I spent $50 on these, got them yesterday and I've gone through 10 of 25 already. I absolutely love the flavors I got except the menthol. (Never been a menthol guy, I was just curious.) The taste is good, TH is there, vapor is there. They just don't last anyone near as long as I expected them to.

BTW, I'm vaping them at 3.7 and 5v.

That sounds about right. Mine last me about 2-3 hours each. Which is considerably longer than any other 3 piece model. Like you I simply cannot afford to use a new cartomizer every time. I simply keep refilling mine until they start to taste bad or simply don't perform well. As a rule I get at least 5 refills out of each one. Most I get 10 or more refills. Also remember that if you are vaping them at 5v you will go dry much faster.

I couldn't go through 10 cartos in 24 hrs. unless I had them going 2 at a time and then it wouldn't be enough time. My suggestion to you would be to get some juice and fill your own. Just refill those ones. I dont'd have that many and I've been using mine for 4 months and still have new unused ones. Good luck and REFILL.
PS when they start tasting bad wash them out dry them and reuse again.

You must be vaping like a fiend to have gone through so many so quickly. I don't use more than 3-4 per day. If you burn through 10 cartos in a day, you must have been refilling your 3-piece carts every 15 minutes!

Even though you still have to refill cartos for them to make financial sense, it's still a lot less hassle than refilling carts. Just do a bunch at once and keep some spares in your pocket. That way you don't have to worry about carrying juice, and swapping them out when necessary is a snap.

I don't know about 510's but I do use use cartomizers (808s) and your post brought up two issues: one, often when the vapor starts to dwindle it is the battery, not the carto going dry and if you switch to a fresh battery your good to go (especially with these new Turbo cartos-which I think the 510 megas are essentially); second, I would ask how much you vape, because I was a "heavy tobacco smoker" and now vaping these Turbo cartos, one carto will usually last me at least 8-12 hours and often times all day. But maybe the 510s are different.

You know, I'm actually finding now that the cartomizers I sat aside as "done", are actually vaping great again. Maybe I was vaping them to hot or something? Not sure... I have been using them manly on my 5v pt, assuming they burn hotter at higher voltage that could of been my problem. I had even looked at them before, they looked dry and I just figured they were done.

I've sort of neglected this thread, forgot all about it. I would of came back with an update much sooner if I hadn't forgot, lol.

It's entirely possible the liquid just didn't wick down fast enough, vape the lower half dry and the rest still has to wick down. I personally prefer blanks, just because I'm not limited to a few flavors that way. Maybe if they taste done just throw the condoms over each end and toss em in a ziploc and do the lasso technique over your head. Sing rawhide while you're doin it, it makes it more manly.

That'll centrifuge all the liquid down to the bottom and you can probably just fire em right back up again. I do that with blanks too to get as much packed in there as possible, bout 35-40 drops depending on how big the drops are of the individual bottle vs viscosity. Ends up being around 1-1.5ml per carto.

I have had a few 510 cartos going over the last couple weeks. One thing I have noticed, they don't all come out shining - by this, I mean of the 10 I got, there was one that the threading was messed up on - it worked fine on my 510, but won't screw into my Indulgence. Another had so much filling that I couldn't draw from it after it was filled. I tried to remove some of the filling to create a central air vent in it, but mangeld it up pretty good.

They still burn hotter and faster, they're only marginally higher in resistance to regular ones, converted to wattage, most normal carts, according to what Drozd posted on them hit around 12W @6v, the Nhalers are 10.58. A decent difference, keeps from getting too much burnt flavor and keeps it in a good place on the sweet spot. The liquid tends to go faster than when I used them @ 3.7v.

MY GOD !!!

When I first read this I was going to PM you to make sure you weren't in a Nicotine Coma. I have been doing cartos for about 6 weeks and I can’t remember ever doing 2 cartos completely in one day!

After reading more, it sounds like it was more of getting used to cartos than actually ingesting like 125mg in one day. I will say this, my DIY juice last about 2/3 longer than the factory juice that I have gotten with prefilled cartos. I think it is both the juice and the fact that I put more drops into a cart than the factory.

I think when you get the rhythm of cartos down, you’ll find that they are pretty cool on many different levels.

I think I've found myself vaping Less with cartomizers than with cartrig.

At first I didn't like cartoz because they seemed to "airy" with not enough throat hit.

I definately do a longer inhale and think I'm vaping less because maybe I'm getting a more satisfying hit?

I would advises buying blanks and refilling with your favorite juice. The condom method is super easy. Rotate back and forth between two of them. You should be able to refill at least 3 times (2-5) before they are a toss.

I do 15 drops in the condom. Which if you are dripping is about an hour's worth of vaping for me. So it equals out.

Is that a picture of Dimebag?

I, much like the OP go through cartos pretty quick. Not quite 10 in a day, but 1 every 2-3hrs.

My refills dont ever seem to last as long as the original factory fills as well.

RIA

Hey RIA I still think 2-3 hours is still too quick, unless you are just chain vaping-which I assume you are not. Often times with cartos when the vapor production starts to dwindle, try out a fresh battery before tossing the carto - that is usually the problem, especially with the Turbo charged cartos, it is usually the battery going down rather than the carto running out of juice. This has been my experience and I vape all day long - most cartos last me at least 8-10hrs.

I do vape quite heavily, with the exception of when Im in the air... then its usually just a few quick pulls in the restroom or a corner of the plane somewhere.

I use an ego exclusively... for the fact that with 510 attys, there isnt a drop in performance until the very end, then the batt dies. I'll pick up some more cartos, and try giving it a rest inbetween vape sessions, and see if that helps. There are so many people that swear by cartos, I must be doin something wrong!

Dont get me wrong, I still adore them in certain situations!

Safe Travels,
