Fog Review for the Ego, Good & Bad (PG Version) from Funsto

I was using a LR 901 atty from Eastmall.com This Fog has a consistent hit, but I only got about 18 puffs with the unit being full, you would get more puffs using a higher ohm atty, but that is not my type of vape.
Overall for me it is a PAIN IN THE ... to refill each time

Here is the video from funstore on how to fill the fog http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J9hIEs... as you can see about 14 drops dripped out after filling, I always get 22 drops that drip out. I also today filled the atty with liquid then putting on the extension, giving the unit more liquid to hold which did last longer then my original 18 hits, now it lasted about 32 hits. I also tried to put a 808 carto in it which was 2.5 ohms, but it was too big to fit in the tube. Others told me that 2.0 ohm cartos fit, and to fill the carto first with liquid, BUT remember YOU MUST drill a air hole in the carto for it to work just like the 901 atty has, and in the same spot.
I still have the same opinion on this device, will not make even 2 hours of vaping for me, and just a pain to refill each time.

Thanks for the review. I've been toying around with the idea of getting one, but I've changed my mind after watching your review. 20-30 hits just doesn't seem to be an adequate number for even a moderate vaper like me. I go through around 2-3mL/day. When dripping, I get a good 5 hits for every 2-3 drops. Assuming that 1mL is around 25 drops, 3mLs should equate to at least 125 hits.

Now you have to remember I am using a 901 LR 1.5 ohms atty, others say they are getting more hits with a regular 2.5 ohm atty which I tried, and is not for me with using a 3.7 volt device. Now also there are others using a 808 cartomizer at 2.0 ohms saying they get about 4 hours with filling the carto first that will give you more liquid, and you have to put a air hole in a 808 carto for them to work, like a 901 atty has, also some 808 cartos are to fat to fit in the fog sleeve. And when you have to refill it is just a pain in the .... especially if your out on the go. Just glade I was able to sell mine. I will buy the GG AFS next to see if that is any better for me.

My whole intent for the FOG was to use a 901LR. On a 3.7V device, I'm really not a fan of anything higher than 2.0Ω, and I'm not too keen on tapping a hole in an 808 carto. The GG AFS and AVS3 are more widely used than the FOG. I have yet to hear negative comments so I'm sure that you will be happy with it. I believe that it holds somewhere around 5mLs, but if I'm not mistaken I think that Imeo is updating the AFS and it the newer version will hold around 7mLs.

I'm using a EM lr 901 atty on mine and I last quite a few hours, probably 100 hits or more. After I fill mine i give it a quick (light) blow to clear the chamber and then a quick inhale, immediately screw it onto the ego after. I also cover one of the air holes for 2 reasons:

1. I like the tighter draw
2. The tighter draw helps the avs feed liquid into the atomizer

If you get a dry hit (I feel it coming every 30 hits), do a quick inhale with no power to force juice into the atty and continue vaping as usual.

Depending on my habits I can last up to do a day with one fill ~ 3.2mls

by the way I have a brand new gg avs v3 that i never used cuz I enjoy my fog so much. If you're interested in a trade + cash I wouldn't mind having another one

@Path - fyi normal egos are 3.2v devices, but I got some of the new rivas and they are True 3.7v devices, makes a huge difference on a LR901

@ yoyoma: From what I've read, pretty much all fat batts run around 3.2-3.4V (even the kr8 threaded batts), except for the new Rivas. I run my mods at 3.7, and was intending on using the FOG on the new GG Slim. The only reason why I haven't purchased the two was because I was unsure of the FOG's performance. From the smokie's video, is there something that you're doing different that is allowing you to get 100+ hits on your FOG? I was extremely disappointed when smokie said that he's only able to get 20-30 on his.

Here's what I think might be the differences:

- I'm covering 1 of the air holes constantly with aluminum tape - the draw is tighter which means more of the surrounding juice around the atomizer is being pulled in through the 901 air hole while the existing juice in the atomizer is being vaporized

- I'm using 100% PG juices in the fog, I use VG juices occasionally, it does run through VG faster but the hits are MUCH bigger, seriously... clouds!

- I occasionally take a quick powerless drag when feel that slightest bit of dry hit

- I only use Eastmall LR901s, for some reason the other lr901s don't feed properly, maybe the EM air holes are bigger. Smokie is apparently using the same attys though.

- My refill method might be a bit more aggressive, I fill all the way to the threads, if the juice level decreases, continue filling till it stops drooping just under the threads. Screw on the top, remove the bottom condom (i use a long carto condom) and immediately put it over an open juice bottle. do a quick blow and suck on the mouthpiece and you'll only have 2 drips in my experience not 22 like smokie, immediately put it onto the ego/riva battery and you're done.

I think smokie is actually just getting a dry atty but not a dry tank, if you unscrew the atty connection of the fog and juice pours out then obviously its not empty, I just make sure to feed the atty as much as possible by adding a vacuuming aspect.

I was also looking into a gg-slim, but it is freggin HUGE all put together, look up "gg slim fog" on youtube and you'll see. Plus it utilizes a smaller 10440 300mah battery, the release of the 3.7v 650mah riva is huge in this respect. 30 bucks for a Riva kit (2 batteries, charger, 2 attys, a cone), or 85 bucks for a gg slim without batteries.

Personally I love the Riva Stainless Special Edition from Liberty Flights, matches the device fog perfectly and is much shorter then the gg slim. PM me if you want to see photos.
