On mine, turning the pyrex does nothing but slide along the bottom o-ring, so I'm not sure what metamorpheus is meaning.
I did find that if I set the chimney on a bit loose, it does allow for better wicking with a thicker wick in place. The tradeoff was that it flooded really easy.
So I just ripped my xc-116 out and replaced with cotton (again) after watching this:
The method in the video actually seems to work very well for me thus far.
Using this method worked great for me. Finally got the fogger to wick without dry hits and no flooding. I have the ends of the cotton fluffed out and pushed back into the base so there is a fair amount of cotton fluffed up inside, as I saw demonstrated on another thread, but still got dry hits, so I just opened it up and used some tweezers and peeled back half the wick going through the channels and tucked it behind the hole of the juice channel, leaving half of the wick still in the slots. Working great. Very tasty vape. Have a 1 ohm micro build, vaping at 15 watts.
