hey guys. i get most of my e juice form mtbakervapor. a lot of the flavors that i like (all 6 mg nic) are very light in color and most of them are nearly clear. i was wondering if it was a bad idea to put food coloring into them just to give it a little style. i have an aspire nautilus which is a big bold tank and the juice is very visible so i think adding a little flash of color would make my setup that much cooler looking. i was thinking like a drop of green coloring in my green apple, red in my watermelon, blue in my cotton candy, etc., does anyone know if this is bad? can this cause some sort of bad chemical reaction in the e juice? is it harmful to inhale food coloring?(i can't imagine it would be any worse than all the chemicals already mixed in e liquid) has anyone done this before? thanks for any help guys

Don't put food coloring in your eliquid. Food coloring is not approved or tested for inhalation, we havent a clue as to what the effects may be of inhaling food dye over a long time or even short. We should be limiting the chemical exposure in our juices, not adding to it just for cosmetics.
Look at Diacetyl (sp) for instance, it's GRAS to eat as a flavoring in foods but inhaling it is dangerous in certain heavy exposures.

If you want colored, why not buy some colored tanks? Much safer!

What you need to do is ask yourself if you feel safe vaping food coloring, some colors maybe be ok, it all depends on what is in the coloring (stay away from anything containing titanium dioxide)
Mount Baker just released the Gwar eliquids, 3 of which contain food coloring, but you can order them without it for those that worry about coloring, I ordered mine with coloring since it doesn't bother me.
If you choose to add coloring, make sure to do your research and find out what is in the colorings you choose.
Also remember that if you go the coloring route a tiny drop will color a lot of liquid.

As for Cuttwood, they used a coloring which was "generally regarded as safe for food" which was later found to be possibly carcinogenic if inhaled (titanium dioxide), and they stopped adding the coloring after they found out about it.
