I just found a new review of the Efest LUC charger over on the Candlepower forums. From what I can tell, the reviewer is very thorough and has posted quite a few well received reviews. According to his testing, the Efest charger he was sent was overcharging unprotected batteries and tripping the protection circuit on those that had them. If you own an Efest LUC, please be aware of this and check your batteries with a quality meter before using them. Also per the reviewer's info, the Efest's own voltmeter only goes to 4.2, so if your battery has been charged to 4.28 the charger will not register it or may register it as 0.0.

The review can be found here: Test/Review of Charger Efest LUC V4

The small animated arrow will stop being animated.

Yup, that's what it did alright. It does seem to be working as it should, and so far I like it, but then I just got it two hours ago. I'd rather the battery symbol turned green when it was done charging, but we can't have everything I guess. I'll just have to see how this charger works out over time.

The only way you can confirm that is to check the battery voltage with a meter as soon as the charger indicates the cycle is complete. As was already mentioned the first generation LED display stops at 4.20 volts, even if the battery was charged to 4.28 volts.

Mine seems to be the second generation, but I am in fact checking the voltage after charging, and so far it's coming out right, no overcharging is seen. It's early on still, and my Nitecore i2 didn't show problems for several months. I'll continue double checking.
