"The list of Chinese products targeted with U.S. tariffs include vaping devices, rare earth metals and LED light bulbs. A Reuters analysis found just 1% of the 1,102 categories of products imported from China to the U.S. are consumer goods. The rest are capital or intermediary products, taxed with the the intention of making American companies’ supply chains less reliant on Chinese goods."

Currently vaping stuff is classified as misc. electronics for import purposes. Commercial quanties might be handled differently. Trying to snag every ecig package at the moment could be challenging. Commodities like steel and aluminum arrive by the ship load, easier too keep track of.

I don't know, may be it's time to stand up to the obviously unbalanced trade practices but why would Trump include vape stuff? I stockpiled but even if I had to pay 25% more the expense is trivial. Trump says he wants to protect American producers. There are no american eciig producers.

Yes, but it will include things like computer chips, etc. I did see where they excluded cell phones for the moment.
He is fighting the whole world these tariffs...bottom dollar....we will pay more for almost everything. It may start out pennies on the dollar, but where will it end? And what else will other countries not do because of this? Dunno, holding my breath and watching.

I really don't see a FT package marked for $20 value being worth it to go after. I think it's more the distributors that are targeted. They don't care about my $5. They want someone's $5000.

The stuff from Fastech usually comes in USPS labeled as "metal tube" or "electronic parts"

Doubt it will make any real difference for those ordering from China

Tariff wars are not won by anyone. Usually end in tanked economies for those involved.

The jobs were sent off shore by the American Corporations chasing a higher profit. They move them to where the labor was cheaper starting decades ago. First to parts of the US with lower labor then offshore

I think FT will simply ignore it and still ship USPS packages of electronic parts

I have an order pending with FT for about $60. The stuff won't ship until after Friday. It appears there has been no preparation for small shipments or we would have heard about it. Can the customs people create a new catagory on short notice? My concern is my package would be held up someplace until I did a bunch of paperwork and paid a bunch of money well in excess of the tarriff and needed to take time off work to do it. In that case I'd abandon the shipment.

What about the same products shipped from some other country? I'm waiting on a couple of Pico's.

I have somewhat of the same concern. I have 2 packages that are in route. Both have left China according to 17 tracking 1 on June 28 and 1 on July 1. And each was sent to a different entry point in the US. Neither of which are even close to me. Mine usually come in through NY and these were sent to SF and Chicago. Kind of makes me think China was just trying to get them into the US quicker, dunno.

Makes me feel better about buying a mod I didn't need on a 20% off 4th sale. I don't know how long it will take to filter down but 25% on a mod is a lot more than if I get hit for $5 on a tank.

1 of mine is just 2 tanks also. Not so worried about that one. The 2nd one is mostly just small stuff to replenish my stm stash and then at the last minute I threw in a mod. Here's to hoping that FT's packages make it through. lol
