What's up folks.

New to the forum (though I've been lurking quite a while) but not as new to vaping.

vaping for over a month now and haven't looked back to analogs since.

Started with the Ego-T system then made the mistake of buying cheap knockoff parts to upgrade it to an Ego-C. I liked the "C" idea but knew it could be better (less mess & hassle), so I finally broke down and bought the full Joye Ego-C setup.

I pretty much rely on the Ego for now but have also been playing with some DCT's and different Carto's. Not quite sure what I'll settle down on yet. The Ego tank cigs give such a rich full vape but they don't always play well with some of the thicker juices.

As for the DCT's I've tried so far, they seem to be way too "airy" making the vape seem kind of dry and less flavorful than I know it could be. I realize it's more likely the Carto than the tank itself that has the biggest effect on vape quality when it comes to the tank mods. Just have to find the right combo I guess.

Heck I'm already into mixing my own juices with varied success.

Did a lot of research and homework to get so far so fast. And almost every time I had a question or needed ideas, ECF was there for me all the way!

Looking forward to contributing to the community, sharing ideas, exchanging some recipes, and learning even more!

Thanks Matt!

Since I was spending $350+ per month on analogs, I figured I'd just redirect it all into vaping. At least during my "learning / discovery" phase. This allowed me (budget wise) to ramp things up in a hurry and even helped a little with dedication to making the switch over. Wasn't about to pay for both Analogs AND all the new toys and goodies at the same time LOL.

I'm sure once I stop experimenting so much and settle on gear and some juices, it will end up saving me a fortune in the long run.

Thanks demon and Sissy!

Yeah I lucked out I think. Found a reasonably acceptable Marlboro flavored juice and jumped high enough on the Nic content the very first try. At first was smoking 1 or 2 analogs per day for maybe a week or so (down from 1.5 packs per day). After that they pretty much tasted like crap and I liked the vaping even more.

Well, I've been analog free for about 2 months now and I'm in the same boat as TravTech. I've been spending as much (possibly more) money on vaping during my discovery phase of vaping. Now I have a pretty good 808 setup and my first eGo setup. Now I want to buy or possibly make a carto tank for my 808. Also, I'm thinking of converting my eGo into a eGo-C. Maybe I'll cool it off with the hardware soon (or maybe not - I like to tinker) and will get to a point where all I am buying is the e-liquid (and the occassional atty/carto).

TravTech, how is the eGo-C setup? Any pros or cons for someone loking at getting one?

I highly recommend the Ego-C but suggest getting the genuine Joyetech. Great vape, rich and thick even on 100% PV. Easy to maintain. About the only downside is that it kind of chokes sometimes on the thicker juices. The atty doesn't wick as well on the thicker stuff so it can lead to a little leakage. Still nowhere near the leakage I had though when I used the cheap knockoff parts to upgrade my T to a C.

Some juice places don't let you specify the PV / VG content of their flavors. So when I end up getting something like a 50/50 mix in the mail I have to either use a VV battery on my ego or use it in a DCT. The VV battery I currently have only goes to 3.7v, which sometimes isn't enough. I'm gonna try the 3.7v with a LR Atty to see if that helps.

But yeah overall The C rocks. I use it for work or out driving and leave all the mad scientist stuff at home. Knowing ahead of time what works well in the C, I just fill them and go. They get me through the day with no muss or fuss and save the tinkering and experimenting for when I'm at home.

I am allowing myself the same amount that I spent on cigs each week (57.00) for vaping fun. The only problem is that I have yet to stick to it:D I am coming around now to having 2 mods (VV and bottom feeder), 2 tanks, a good assortment of cartos, many many juices and 4 AW batteries with a 4 bay charger. I am now dabbling in a lil DIY. I think this week I may make budget.

Hi
I had the same problem wit DCTs, it seems like they need 5 volts to work properly. I havent bought a 5v mod yet, so some input from a more experienced vapor would be appreciated. As to getting a tank to work properly at 3.4 to 3.7 volts you can get lr single coil cartos with the flange that fit smoketech tanks. I bought mine from madvapes and absolutely fell in love with it, no more worrying about burning a carto and it lasts all day for me. Crystal Clear Vaping also sells their 1.7 ohm ressurector single coil cartomizer for tanks, but I havent had a chance to try them out yet.

I got the 15 Carto deal from CCV. The 1.7 ohm bottom plated pre-punched resurrectors. But in the DCT at anywhere from 3.3 - 4.2v the hit just seems too airy. Kind of hot and dry too. Maybe I need to try some thicker juice or maybe I haven't really let one "break in" completely.

Yeah I misspke in my earlier post a little. My Ego VV goes from 3.3 - 4.2v. But still, I'll eventually get around to getting myself a Real VV mod. Maybe a provari.
