OK, thanks, Chesty. Most likely tax, or import tariff laws. We all are aware of government's need to control alcohol, tobacco and firearms.

(maybe similar to a tariff in the mid 80s for motorcycles imported into the USA over 700cc. I wanted a 750, but in 85, Suzuki only had a 699, to clear the tariff)

That scotch sounds nice. I have just a bit of Scoresby's, but it's meh... I need some Glenfiddich...

Dang, so many other premium liquids I need to sample...

I have an empty bottle of Jim Beam in fron of me, heres what it says (this is U.S. bought)

"JIM Beam Bourbon...... Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey. The worlds #1 selling bourbon" and all the good stuff to define the manufacturer and location of origin.

Empty? Empty? How did that happen??????

I have several ejuices and tequila bottles that have that same problem...

Thanks Chesty and DaveOno for that lesson on Bourbon.

I obviously did not know what constituted Bourbon.

Imagine how many dogs there are in Heaven. (Made me think of this when DaveOno talked about his dog showing mine the ropes!)

When we were waiting in the vets office yesterday morning, I had my hand on Brett's head and was saying a prayer and I saw a picture in my head of Brett, with his collar and little bone shaped tag but it was solid gold. Then I saw him running thru these beautiful fields with flowers and I heard a laugh and it was Jesus and Brett ran into his arms. Seriously, it was really vivid too and all I could think was it was God showing me that he really is in a better place.

Of course I shared what I saw with hubby and I thought he was gonna start crying.

That dog meant so much to him.

Especially I think because even though he helped raise my kids (and they still refer to him as Dad today) he never had any of his own.

So that dog was really like a child to him.

I have been doing everything I can think of to make things easier for him.

Tonight I told him I would cook him anything he wants.

Hope my back feels better by then!

Cindy

OK, Diva, just for you...

When I lived in Rio de Janeiro, we had 4 or 5 banana trees. Spiders love bananas. (Remember the Harry Belafonte Song, Day-O?)

So we had seen several huge spiders, about 6 or 7 inches. I thought they were wolf spiders, but they were Brazilian Wandering spiders, the most venomous spider. It looks like a tarantula, but these are very aggressive. Armadeiras, the armed spider.

While playing catch with my Dad, the ball went into the bushes. I reached in, got the ball, threw it back. and I felt like a thorn near my elbow. Nothing there, but 2 minutes later, It started to hurt. After ten minutes, my arm felt like some was punching it hard! My dad threw me in the car, drove me to the emergency room, where I forgot all my portuguese, but somehow communicated to the nurse who gave me the antivenom. I went home. I was semi-conscious for 2 weeks. I don't know or remember, cause I was semi conscious.

In fact, it was years later when my mother told me I was out for two weeks. Dang, I thought that summer vacation went awfully quick...

I don't blame you for being scared of spiders, that is not an irrational fear. I'm not scared of spiders or snakes. I'm going to tell you a little secret, I am absolutely TERRIFIED of ..........frogs!!!!!

I grew up in Texas, we had horny toads, they are not wet & slimy, they are dry. I used to play with horny toads all the time when I was a little girl but frogs.........I run screaming, I'd throw my own child in front of a car to get away from it. My sons have chased me with frogs, put one in my bedroom, they have had me so terrified I lost my voice for 3 days, if I was ever tramped with nowhere to run, I'd probably have a heart attack. I know it is irrational!! And I try to convince myself it is just a stupid frog but I see one and freak out, not just terrified but TERRORfied. Everyone laughs so hard at me but I cannot help it.

My bosses boss hates spiders. I sent her a picture of a really cool looking spider I found in Oklahoma. She told me to never ever send her a picture with spiders again... Guess what my phone background is???

A big scary spider? LOL
