I don't know about any Chinese companies - judging by issues others have had some Chinese companies don't really seem to communicate with customers well. Some people like Heaven's Gift

As for US companies - I've seen a couple make claims like a carto lasts as long as a pack (not true) or claim they were the best or unique for no particular reason I could see. If you want to buy from a particular company, see if they actually have a supplier forum here on ECF and read peoples comment

The intention certainly seems to be that only trustworthy companies are forum suppliers on ECF. But they are run by individuals and I think there is always a risk.

The ECF forum suppliers are tried and true. They generally have better customer service and they do what they say they are going to - like fix a problem or refund a bad part. One of the reasons I like to buy from the forum suppliers is that they know that ECF is the largest community of vapers on earth and if anything goes wrong or if they have sketchy business practices, it will be posted here for the whole world to see... it could really hurt their business if they start to get sketchy.

The suppliers on this forums main business comes from THIS forum...last thing they want is to get booted off and removed as a vendor. If you see them in the supplier list, whatever issues that might occur would be dealt with quickly, because they have much more to lose than just someone you found surfing the net. Forum suppliers are watched like a hawk.

All good advice. Like with any financial transaction use your common sense both in the transaction and visiting the different sections of the forums. I don't think you'll run into anything really bad but sometimes you have to read between the lines with all the hype which can occur especially with something new.

Definately read between the lines. There is a lot of overpriced stuff and fluffy claims of something special. They don't get booted from the forums for over-pricing. They don't get booted for paying people to review a product and do it favorably. From what I have seen, only the un-favorable posts in a suppliers forums get deleted. Rest of the forums seems to let the good and bad reviews stay, and that is why a lot of us are still here 8) There is clearly an attempt on the mods part to keep at least decent companies around.

Still havn't figured out why Blucig is still here though, that one is a clear example of something messed up.
