Fouled Coil Help!

Well i guess you would call it fouled.

Made this coil last night and only vaped half a tank, this is what it looks like.



Its an AGA-T+ at 1.6 ohm (6 wraps of 30 ga kanthal a) mainly used at 7-8 watt (on eVic or VAMO).

Mesh is 500 SS with paperclip hole in center.

juice is Double Dark Chocolate 18mg, i believe around 70pg/30vg

Any suggestions to fix it and/or keep it from happening again?????

looks gunked up... Are you tipping it for every vape? Looks like over-wicking to me...

Try without tipping and see if you get dry hits.... If not, you just made a killer wick

to fix it, you may try and torch the wick, then use a small brush to gently clean it...

i would definitely do this.... you can save that wick!!!

I was tipping it almost horizontal while vaping.

also with really sweet juices they just will gunk up faster. just dry burn regularly. you really dont need to take out the juice to do this, with about a half of tank, tip device away from wick, thus keeping wick away from juice, then just dry burn. if done regularly will keep wick from really getting bad thus producing more and efficient vapor.
