I found me an 801 atty that metered at 1.8Ohm. Now I can see what all the fuss is about wrt LR 801s. this was purely found by accident, and should not have been found, but I am glad I did
I have been having a string of bad luck with my 801s. It was hit and miss. Now I will concede I am relatively new to HV vaping, but at the same time, I'm no rookie vaper so to speak.
So I decided to meter my stock. Wow! 2.5-2.6Ohm, no wonder they were short lived at 6V. My previous batch were 3.1-3.5Ohms, and the one that I have been using for the last month 3.2Ohm.
So what is the purpose of this post? Well because on inconsistencies with QC I recommend everyone meter their attys upon receipt, and label their resistance or place a piece of paper in the atty with its noted resistance. Should I have installed that 1.8 on my HV setup, I surely would have popped it instead of appreciating the 801 at LR.
Now I need to hunt me down a vendor with 3-3.5 Ohm HV attys
