Ok as the title states I have found perfect tube to use for mod but I have some questions on sizes.

First the tube is an aluminum barrel from a paintball marker, it is painted but I will be able to remove the paint. The inner bore is .68 and I have checked to see if an 18650 2400Mah protected batt would fit in it. This is a no go as the batt needs to have a .69 or.70 bore to fit the batt.

Are 2000 and 3000 Mah batts thinner than the 2400Mah? I have seen that sometimes the 3000Mah will fit a tube but a 24/2600Mah won't. Is this because the diameter or the length?

What is the best way to bore the hole out for the whole 18" tube length? I have looked in to an adjustable reamer set but it cost more than buying a lava tube. Is there any place maybe around north west dallas that could bore this out for cheap?

I would really love to get this bored out and then I can cut it down to size clean it up and also anodize it myself. The walls on this tube are pretty big so boring it out wont be a problem. Any answers/help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

First question would be what batt are you using? I have noticed my AW batts are thinner
than the trustfire and lifepo batts I have used in the past.

I would imagine any machine shop would charge a pretty penny for a one off job like that.

I would suggest cutting down to the length that you need and then using a conical rasp
and a drill bit extension to ream out the inside enough for your batts to fit.

I have a GLV mod that takes 16340 batts ( stacked ), and I tried to ream it out enough
to fit an 18650 batt. The walls were too thin, but I managed to make enough room for a
17670 to fit.

That would be my last suggestion, try using a 17670 batt, it should fit with no modding.

The only one I remember for sure is the 4050C booster.
You could do fixed resistance for whatever voltage you want.
Don't forget to account for the voltage drop of whichever
atty/carto you use.

I vaguely remember there being a 3.7V regulator similar to the 5V
regulator that Madvapes carries.

Since I'm your new best friend, you're gonna make one of these for me right?

Thank you both. VPN looks like I can get around 6 out of the tube. So I will reserve one for you.

After looking around it looks like what I am maybe wanting/needing will be

http://www.madvapes.com/LDO-5-volt-30-amp-regulator-with-control-pin_p_2123.html?lt_c=1&quickcart=1

http://www.madvapes.com/Tactile-Switch-with-Round-actuator-100g_p_2500.html

Some battery contacts, and springs

http://www.madvapes.com/Prewired-510-Battery-Connector-Sealed-_p_2769.html

And a power indicator to hook up 5 of these http://www.madvapes.com/3mm-Violet-LED_p_2112.html up to.

This should give me the constant voltage instead of the drop off I experience with the batts I have. Also the switch might just be flush with the outside wall of the tube. And then the leds can be put at different positions to monitor battery level.

does this sound about right?
