As I am rather new, here, this may be idiotic - but - have been searching for a desktop cartomizer holder, to keep my cartomizers upright. I like to dabble with a lot of different flavors, and keeping them in little zip-lock bags does not work very well.

I saw some lovely wooden ones, online, but it looked like most of them were out of stock. Would not test tube holders work? Some are not very tall, and for my clear cartomizers that screw onto my battery, they look like they would be perfect!

I need something with a 15mm hole, and I saw several test tube holders online, that have every appearance of meeting my needs. There were also a few other things that might work, but looks like the test tube holders would be perfect, as long as the height span is correct.

So,...is that a viable option, or not?

I don't see why this would not work. I am actually using a styrofoam testtube holder that came with our last delivery of lab draw tubes (I am a nurse) and it works out perfect for me. Keeping filled cartos and clearos in there, ready for use. I would definitely say, yes, that would work...... :)

As I mentioned, I did see some online - made from wood. Not many available. As a "jack-of-many-trades", I could make myself one, but too busy with our other businesses. Dandafixr - you could probably have a booming business, making them.

Thank you all for the replies. Glad to hear about the styrofoam test tube holder working. I thought the idea would work. When researching the idea, I saw many different diameter sizes listed, in millimeters. For my purposes, the 15 mm would be ideal.

I have ammo holders, but we already use them. All sorts of good ideas for holders out there...I thought about drill bit holders that were made for large-sized bits, and lipstick tube holders, and magic marker holders, etc. Most pen holders do not have a large enough diameter to be useful.

Just some thoughts. Some bright entrepreneur needs to grab the idea, and go into production!

Great post! Having gone from 808 cartos to 510 recently, I had to come up with something just for filling them to get them ready for tanks. I've been using everything from skinny shot glasses to an ammo box. I have a few friends that work in a hospital so I'll ask about the styrofoam test tube holder.

The entrepreneur in me has some wheels spinning in its head now too.....

Would getting a small block of wood and drilling some 15mm holes work also? Just a thought. That way you could sand, stain and finish it to look really nice!

Kay1959 - That would work, and I could do it, because I built my own bed, among many other things. I just don't have the time, but someone here on the forums could certainly take the idea and take off with it. The three that I saw online, were lovely. The ones that would have worked, are currently out of stock.

Someone could get really creative, here, and make them in different colors, with places to put the name of the e-liquid contained in the cartomizer, a personalized plaque option - and so on...

Hi,

I know it sounds stupid, but I use a roll of TP. It holds my rig vertical, plus I have some tissue that you need for drips and such. I just do this at home though. At work I got a small box that a wireless head set came in, and cut a round hole in it. My way is low tech I know. There are some nice wood holders on the market. Check out Grimmgreen on youtube, He did a segment on one. I warn you they are kinda pricey.

For the juice, I wonder if a small spice rack would work?

No, the TP roll does not sound stupid. Whatever works, is intelligent.

I did see some online, but the test tube rack option is versatile, as they come with various diameter holes.

The spice racks will work, if the holes are not too big. There are many of them out there, some with "test tube" size holes. As long as the depth is ok, that is a good option.

I will be keeping my eyes wide open for options that are compact, easy to clean - in case of spills, durable, and attractive.

Meanwhile, if someone finds a good source, with an adequate inventory - feel free to PM me, or just post it here for all to see.

I use my old ashtrays - cleaned out of course! I use 3 different flavors throughout the day so I needed something to keep the spare cartos in. I used to keep them in my old cigarette carrying case, but with them being vertical, they would leak a little. In the ashtrays, I lay them horizonally. I DIY and only mix around 5 ml's at a time because I love a variety of flavors and carry my 3 bottles around in my cigarette case. Works for me!

I just superglue a carto condom to the side of my bottles of juice, bottom of condom even with the bottom of the bottle (so you don't rip it off trying to put in a cart). Put a condom on the open end to prevent any evaporation, then just slide the cart into the one attached to the bottle.
Keeps them upright and organized at the same time and by putting a little juice in the condom before I store it, they're topped off when I go to use it again.
Then I just keep the bottles in a simple Starlite container that I wrapped with aluminum foil tape to block light from getting to my juices.

I store my PVs in a simple steel mesh desktop organizer I got on clearance at Staples for $5. It's got 3 slots for pencils an pens and a a post-it note slot. The pencil/pen holders hold my PVs and the Post-it note holder holds a few bottles of whatever juices I'm using at the moment. Works great for me.

Another awesome idea, Ded. I'll definitely try that once I progress to larger bottles. I'm busy collecting small bottles atm, until I find some faves. BTW, I just ordered the ammo box from Amazon. One thing Kush: I notice you store the larger bottles upside down. I assume that this means that they don't leak.
