I am running my first coil on my RM2 and was getting good flavor but not over the top. I moved the air hole a bit to line up with the coils ( as suggested by SuperX). I squonked longer thanks to FB. Wow, I hit the sweet spot! I cannot believe what a difference such minor adjustments can make to the flavor and intensity of the vape. I have not drilled the whole out yet and am loving it. I am getting the hang of the REO and it is a fast learning curve. What a great vape and now I understand why most buy more than one. Thanks for the help Reoville!

How can you line up the air hole on the RM2 when the cap is a screw-on. It took me forever using an O-ring just to figure out how to make the air hole not point to my trigger finger and burn me. Seriously, using the O-ring at the bottom of the RM2 has allowed me some leverage but the cap screws onto the base and there's no changing where the air hole comes to rest, is there?

Some people slip an o-ring onto the RM2 before screwing on the cap. This will allow a some flexibility in adjusting the air hole and still maintain a seal so you won't have any leaks.

Clear as mud?

Will look for a photo for you.

Since I do not like the look or hassle of running a o ring between the cap and base I have two choices.

Build the coil so it's at the air hole. In this pick I want to test being away from the air hole. but the pic gives you the ideal that you can move the coil to meet the airhole and don't need to move the air hole to meet the coil.

2nd method is to file the bottom of the cap, as you shorten the cap it will screw on slightly more. This spins the airhole in a clockwise direction around the RBA. I do this to get my airholes dead center between the posts. So I spin the cap almost in a full circle about 340 degrees.

To do this put sand paper or a fine metal file on flat surface, Rub the cap back and forth slowly rotating it. You want to hold the cap flat while doing this. The slow rotating help to keep everything flat.

That's exactly what I needed! Thanks so much. The only confusion I had over there was when he said the coil needed to be pointing 'up'...to me that could only mean building a vertical coil. Then after reading some other posts I figured he meant the air hole and not the coil (although both should be lined up with each other). Language is so important when talking about these things or it can get really confusing.

What I found out was that on all my RM2's, when the atty is screwed together, the air hole sits perfectly adjacent to the coil when the atty is screwed onto the Reo, which is good. But...if that hole is pointing right at my index finger it's not good, which is where the O-ring comes in handy for moving that air hole away from my finger. But I also found out, like Fiesty Alice, if I don't over-squonk, it doesn't matter where my air hole is, it doesn't necessarily need to be pointing 'up', it can even be pointing 'down' when I vape and it still doesn't make the juice plug up the air hole. :)

I did this on one of mine that was not cooperating. Haven't heard a peep out of it since :)

Super X, yes it is a beast. She is getting a lot of use and love.

To find the right position for the air hole I just loosened the top and moved it until I found just the right spot. Then, as Papa put it best, bazinga! So much flavor and throat hit I was coughing and reeling with joy. So I hit it then moved the air hole and continued until the lights went out. When I came back from my happy place and the lights came on everything suddenly made sense.

Now I will make the modifications to keep the air hole in place. In the meantime all is good in my vaping world!
