I never thought I would say this...

But as far as our interests our concerned on the personal vaporizer issue, I think Fox is probably more along our lines of interest. How can they say that don't want to regulate Wall Street but want to regulate e-cigs?

Ya know I couldnt have said that better... Well heres hoping Fox comes through for us.

I dunno

Did you see the look on the reporter's face when she was talking about
Senator Frank Lautenberg's FDA petition to ban vaporizers?

She had a little bobble of her head like,
Yeah kewl but snag, guess what people!
when she named who was on his side,
American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, American Lung Association.

Just my observation

Out of all of the networks to cover this issue our best bet is Fox news. I think they did a good job. I think that the reporter was just insinuating that even though with the e-cig you don't get the cancer causing chemicals, can you believe this senator actually has all of these organizations backing him who supposedly want people to quit because of the cancer death rates. yeah that makes a whole lot of sense.

I meant, our nation is pretty balanced... between left and right, too far in either direction is certainly bad. Sorry, that was my first post!! I just got my first e-cigarette last week and I love it so far, and I just ordered my second this week. I just hope this turns out well for all of us.. Let's just pray that Obama and the senate like their sample e-cigs, and that the California senator didn't send them the mall kiosk models... :)

Fox spot went just as I expected...grab you with a friendly teaser...then - BOP you on the head with the: nah, nah, nah nah, nah spot.....like CssReb said "look at her face when she was talking about Senator Frank Lautenberg's FDA petition to ban vaporizers?"..almost giddy...does seem they want division here...but the big Pharmaceutical companies that developed their nicotine cessation devices and the tobacco companies that have the Govt. in it's pocket, (which, we are reminded, want to collect the new taxes on cigarettes coming in April)..there is no doubt they have clout here...but people love their ecigs and see first hand the benefits it has brought to their lives. I see a battle brewing because people have been waking up to the illusion that these companies, and the politicians, are on our side...they see all the things as of late done for greed ..they see that for these companies there is money in death and dying from the deadly diseases caused by tobacco...so I see a giddy news corporation looking forward to the rise of the awakened humans to say no to their plan if it is to ban what is clearly a safer alternative to KNOWN kill sticks...we can't allow them to ban these things...at least not without doing all the things possible to adhere to guidelines and paperwork....independent testing should be done and safety standards put into place...we must take them up on the battle, only do it with grace and dignity by coming together with a common goal of PEACFULLY bringing this issue to the public and to Congress and our Representatives and even President Obama with very cool, collected, unemotional and well thought out petitions, or just personal letters, to let them know we are serious about not allowing big business to once again step on the people that work in this great land....as the Hopi Indians declared in their 2001 message: "We are the ones we have been waiting for"....ok that's my rant of the day...

I would wager that as this battle goes on and more information is gained by the general public, these organization are going to end up stammering, and very likely backing off of their support for a ban.

Fox News is not news (but that is for another thread).

As a supplier, I can see that government intervention is strongest in Hong Kong at the moment. Many shipments are being returned and it looks as though the rest of the world is currently putting the pressure on Hong Kong to prevent the export of these things.

eCigarettes have literally put the smoking world on its head, and it is unfortunate that the nay-sayers are automatically painting ecigs as evil. Think about it. Our governments (mine is Canadian) have both spent a lot of time and money, convincing us that smoking is wrong. They do not like the fact that we can now smoke with less consequences.

I am certain that many of us have lost loved ones, or know of someone who has lost their life because of smoking. Smoking is an addiction and if we can admit that many people are simply incapable of quitting, then we can more easily endorse this new, healthier alternative that allows smokers to take part in what they enjoy.

Painting smokers as weak, dirty people has to stop. Let us rejoice in this new technology and get back to living life like Frank Sinatra and the rest of the Rat Pack. That's right... smoking is cool again.
