I had a broken set of vise grips. I cut the knob off and drilled a hole in the center of it. It was just small enough to not look ridiculous. It's temporarily lost at the moment but it'll show up again

Sorry,,, it will only show up again when you do not want it any more :p

If you don't have any broken VG's... zoro tools sells new Irwin vise grips for $6-7 dollars shipped on line at the evil place on the bay.

I could make my own cartridge case buttons since I reloaded for the almost 90 firearms I had from 17-50 caliber until a few years ago. Would have to dig in storage to see what brass and nickel cases I still have though (sold most of the reloading supplies, some of the equipment along with the firearms).

When I couldn't use them the way(s) I had for well over 50 years anymore, I didn't want to use them at all anymore. I still have a few I never got around to selling, and a couple still brand new in the box I never got around to using or selling that I bought about a dozen years ago. Luckily I did get all but one of my custom firearms sold, and to people I knew that had wanted them for years, would carry on what I no longer did with them (ADC, IHMSA and long range handgun competition).
