I thought the same thing until I realized I was using way too much. A drop or 2 per ml is more than enough. Anything more and it gets bitter.

You do not want to use to much!! I recommend a drop, try, another drop if needed, try... and so on, until you get your liquid to taste just the way you want it.

That is the joy of DIY, you dont get juice that someone else thinks tastes just right, you make juice that you enjoy the flavor of!
