Free sampler cartos

As time has passed I have found that my subsequent orders have come with outdated stock that utilizes plastic and glued caps which are no longer even available for purchase.

yet I have read others that seem to consistently receive currently selling different flavored Premium and Wow cartos

What gives? Is there some special list for some and not others? How do I get on that list?

Fact is Maxx neither your or Magilla ever read the original post. Here is another fact, nobody likes a self-anointed syntax or grammar policeman "ammount" really??? Are you ssssure thhats hhhow itts speelllled?

I clearly and tactfully outline several caveats stating that I not only appreciate the "free bonuses", but I appreciate and applaud the great staff at V4L. Instead of contributing to the post with a simple remark like, "Strange I never get old carts" or "It happens from time to time" or "Funny, I noticed that too" Maxx has chosen to hijack a rather harmless post and attack me.

I did not post some alarming title in the General Discussion or New Member Forum, nor did I slam anyone at V4L at anytime. I am simply making an observation of a trend, a trend which others have experienced lately as well. It's not really that big of a deal since as I noted in the original post, that "bonuses" are in fact....free.

So Candy darlin, don't you worry that pretty head of yours over any of this. This is a case of a board veteran and minion that decided they were going to take this opportunity to teach a board newb a lesson. Well, they just learned the hard way that I am no newb to forums and just got their back porch painted red. This is why it's important to always read the original post so you don't end up looking like a board bully.

That being said, I am an "original poster" on several huge forums. I understand how things are amongst "the family" that is created when boards first start and how things change over time. I have chased down and scolded my fair share of newbs so I understand the mindset.

So Maxx and Magilla....friends? No reason why we can't be, it's just a vaping site and exchanges should always be light-hearted.

But this is the flipside of that which is "this did not sell well at all". So even if I gave my 3 discontinued American Menthols to somebody else that loved it, they could never order it in the future.

Again, I agree with MK "free is free" but I think we can all agree that current flavors provide us all with an opportunity to discover new flavors we might not have shown interest in if it weren't for a bonus sampler. Such discoveries are mutually beneficial to us and V4L.

I have never seen anyone every say anything negative against Maxx, so I had to come out of the shadows.

From what I read on your OP is that you don't like the "free samples" (that is what you said) that you get from V4L, and that you wish they could just give you the new stuff and let the old stuff sit on the shelf and wither away.

Well that would be stupid. If they have over stock of an old item they should be putting it in a lot of people's orders so that maybe someone will like that and then order it so it is not on the shelf anymore.

I say if you don't like the bonuses, just tell them to stop sending them to you. In fact, I think Mark should be able to check people off that don't want them or complain about them.

I often get bonus cartos in my orders and if I don't care for the flavors, I save them. They become part of my arsenal to help someone else switch to vaping.

I think the original poster has a valid point. In the beginning, they really were samples to get customers to try new flavors. Now, several carto incarnations later, they are bonuses to get rid of older/less popular stock. It is what it is. There's no sense in beating the guy up for stating the obvious.

My guess is that once all of the older types of cartos are gone and there are only Wow cartos left, that's when we'll all start getting genuine samples as bonuses again. In the meantime, save those unwanted bonus cartos for some poor slob who's still smoking and hasn't yet tried vaping. You could change a life.

The original idea behind the samples is to get some flavors out to people that you might otherwise not order. (explains the Pumpkin Pie carts, but that's for another time....lol).

I recieved tons which I didn't like, but believe me, they all found a home.

Vaping is too awesome to keep it to yourself. If you have stuff that you don't use and don't like, get it to someone in need.

That's what it's all about.

I would never throw away a freebie, I have a whole stash that would not be my faves but you can bet I hang on to them in case:

a) A friend wants to try vaping - I throw a few in with a few of my faves. Everyone has different tastes and this gives them more of a selection to try.
b) Someone who needs some cartos and can't buy them can use them to tide them over.
c) In case of e-cig ban, loss of job, earthquake, flood, tornado or other natural disaster that might provent me from getting my cartos. (Be prepared I always say ) There are some circumstances where I would be very happy to have that parliment carto!

I particularly agree with Jen's example (c).

Whether you like the flavor or not, a free carto is as good as a free "blank". Spin out the juice, rinse it, let it dry and throw it in the In Case of Emergency drawer.

I would like to say, since I just received my order today:

Keep making carefully-worded, polite requests about samples in the comments box. (Make sure they know you're grateful for freebies no matter what, and you'd just like to try ____ if possible, etc.)
With this order, I received no tobacco/menthol tobacco flavors. In fact, I got lucky enough to get some flavors I've been kicking around trying, without even making specific requests!

I think the bonuses are great. I'm new to this so even old flavors are new to me. I do appreciate that any free carts are the same nicotine level as what you ordered. They don't appear to send you 16mg if you are ordering 4. So, IMO they do take the time to try to give you cartomizers that would be useful for you even if you don't get all the latest and greatest flavors for free.

To me the bonuses are an extra treat and I appreciate them.

Few people are more prepared, or at least was. Ask JenJen to dig up the old photo of her stash. At one time she probably could have supplied the entire V4L customer base with at least something.

I had some pizza flavoring as well but it smelled so bad that there was no way I was going to vape it. Even smelling it left a smell in my nose that didn't go away all day. It was horrible and sometimes I have nightmares about it. I threw that puppy away.

I love ANY free samples they send. It's a great way to sample new flavors. Unfortunately I didn't get any with my last order. The only problem I have with them is that a lot of them are bum cartos. A few puffs and their dead. But at least I get to taste the flavor and decide whether or not I like it. Hope the freebies keep coming.
