I don't think you have the time zone wrong; the ad I have in my email says it ends 3/8 at 11am CST. It's currently 7:15pm CST on 3/7 there, so that shouldn't be why.

Perhaps when they set up the coupon in the system, they got the end date/time wrong?

Hoping a V4L Official will reply back soon.
