About a month ago, after a couple months of vaping nothing but menthol or sweet flavors, I think my mouth had had enough and wanted something neutral. I actually pulled out a couple of Marlb High pre-filled carts from various past kit orders and vaped them for the very first time and darned if they weren't bad at all!

I haven't really tried "strict" tobacco flavors at this point (other than various RY4s and a sampler or two), but realizing that my own cigs are already tobacco flavor-starved and accepting the fact that I am still tapering off of them, I have been attempting to find as close a vape equivalent as I can (probably impossible but I'm making the effort anyway).

I have some samplers of Freedom from Halo, but that was too flavorful for what I seemed to need. I had gotten a sample of Wyatt Earp from FSUSA from a past order but found that it had a sweet taste (and aftertaste) on every inhale/exhale. Perhaps this will fade if I let it sit a couple more weeks....

I suppose what I was looking for was a cheap cig taste.

So I decided to try a sample of FSUSA's Pall/Mall. The description claimed it was pretty "dry" and I figured that's what I was maybe looking for.

The review: (50% PG/ 50% VG, 24 mg)

Flavor - 6/10 (flat, non-bitter, non-sweet taste with enough tobacco flavor to identify it as cigarette-like, occasional pepper taste on inhale)
Throat hit - 4/10 (mild throat hit)
Vapor - 6/10 (good amount but not voluminous)

Hardware was a Provape-1 (3.7V) with LR 306 (Joye, not Cisco) atty and delrin 306 drip tip.

As a sidenote - don't let the ratings fool ya - for what *I* was looking for, it is about a 9/10! For any who are discerning vapeophiles, the ratings are what they are. YMMV :p

And in this case, I have been pleasantly surprised as to how close this gets to "ciggy". I even added a drop of Halo Truepure (my go-to menthol) to it and darned if it didn't taste like a Salem Light (not my brand but still menthol-ciggy tasting).

FSUSA has been having a sale on 10 ml pre-mixes (30% off 5 bottles) and I decided to get some of their new "PureCig" juice to compare. I will try to compare this with PureCig and see if I can find something to add to the stash that will satisfy my "neutral" vape periods...

I've tried Pall Mall and enjoyed it. The fact of the matter is nothing tastes like a real cig. No point trying to find what can't be found. But there are flavors that can give you that same satisfaction. Purecig from FSUSA comes close to a real smoke...But the weird thing is it's not my first choice. I guess coming closest to a real smoke is not as important as I used to think. I like Wyatt Earp and/or Ry4 from FSUSA more. Also their Cuban cigar is a nice vape.

I did get my PureCig in last week and am letting it seep. Just for the heck of it, I tried it a day after getting it and found that it was about a notch above burnt atty taste = close to analog!

I do get mine 50/50 like the Pall/Mall so am thinking any little sweetness that I'm tasting may be VG-related.

I like the PureCig, but it needs a clean atty or it can taste like solvent. With a clean atty I get a pretty good facsimile of a full flavor analog at 24mg, but if I drip some without cleaning my atty first it can taste downright bad.

Just wanted to mention that in case anyone reading this tried PureCig and hated it. Give your atty a good blow out and dry burn and try it again. It changes the vape dramatically. It isn't my favorite analog-like juice, but it isn't bad on a clean atty.
