The two-tone package (blue / white) of the MaxPod 3 shows a transparent window with a view of the device inside, the name of the device, an icon and a text of FM SaltCoilTech 4.0, and the classic warnings on the use of nicotine. Two years later FreeMax updates the MTL Maxpod device, I still own the original Maxpod and it still works fine. When I opened the MaxPod 3 box, I noticed that the Type-C cable for charging was missing, so it will be necessary to recharge the 480mAh battery have any USB Type-C charging cable. The package contains a rechargeable MD Mesh Pod 2ml bottle with child protection and a high-quality top filling. The integrated Mesh Coil is of the SS904L type and uses the innovative FM SaltCoilTech 4.0 technology. The Maxpod body is made with a minimalist design, it is produced via an injection molding process with 2 different types of high-end plastics. The process is used to create an internal coloring with some nice graphic effects. In addition, the hardness of the transparent outer surface has been treated so as not to fade. MaxPod 3 is really very light, small, and simple to use with only automatic Vaping mode.

This new Freemax kit is available in 6 different colors. For this test I received the version of Maxpod 3 in Light Blue color, on the side panels it is possible to notice some internal color veins, which are due to the injection molding of which I have already spoken. There are also two silver writings; on one side "FreeMax" and on the other side "MAXPOD". In the center on one of these sides is a small single-color LED that sends notifications as follows:

► Freemax MaxPod 3 15W; Airflow:
On the narrow sides of the device there are two opposing fixed and small diameter holes. These holes have the task of transporting the air from the outside to the lower internal part of the cartridge. FreeMax has focused on offering a good type of MTL Vaping, and for this reason there are two different types of MD Mesh Pod Mesh with built-in SaltCoilTech 4.0 FM Coils. The one in the package is the 0.8Ω one while the 1.2Ω one can be purchased separately.
► Freemax MaxPod 3 15W; Type-C and compartment/pod:
With a diameter of 18.2mm, MaxPod has a good support base to keep itself straight when you place it, while recharging you need to lay down the Mod. MaxPod 3 with a speed of 0.5A fully recharges the 480mAh battery in about 60 minutes.
Inside the compartment / pod there are two small round-shaped magnets that guarantee a stable connection with the cartridge. There are also two gold-plated contact pins, and the sensor for automatic vaping mode.
► Freemax MaxPod 3 15W; MD Mesh Pod:
The MD Mesh pod has an e-liquid capacity of 2ml and is refillable via the top filling port hidden under the spout safe from children. MD mesh Pod incorporates an integrated 0.8Ω or 1.2Ω Mesh Coil, which means the coil is not replaceable. When the coil degrades, the cartridge is disposed of to install a new one.
Thanks to FreeMax for sending me a pack of 3 1.2Ω MD Mesh Pods. This is to get my impressions. These Mesh Coils are also made of SS904L military steel. All Freemax MD Mesh Pod FM SaltCoilTech 4.0 for MaxPod 3 are available for purchase in packs of 3 each.
► Freemax MaxPod 3 15W; Vaping test & final conclusions:
Despite the minimalist form factor, MaxPod 3 offers some pretty cool exclusives: The color on the Mod body stops 15mm from the top of the device, providing a transparent window when the MD Mesh Pod is installed on the Mod, so you can see clearly the level of internal e-liquid and you will avoid removing the MD Mesh Pod. In addition, MD Mesh Pod with "child protection" safety system implements a filling hole protected by a membrane and there is an "overflow" vent hole, you can then insert all 2ml of e-liquid and without the formation of bubbles air. These features are important! I point out that these useful tricks are often not available on all competitor Pod systems. Brava FreeMax!
One of FreeMax's greatest qualities is certainly all their coils which are carefully crafted to offer vapers the best performance available on the market today. For the MaxPod 3 test I used a mexico 90 e-liquid with nic 3mg / ml. As with most MTL pod devices it is advisable to use e-liquids with a PG / VG ratio of 50/50, avoiding e-liquids with a high VG content due to the small breathable ports. When using the cartridge for the first time, I would recommend refilling it and letting it sit for at least 10-15 minutes. This will certainly increase the life of the internal coil.
• MD Mesh Pod 1.2Ω (Optional):
This cartridge can be purchased separately, I consider it a very interesting option, especially for lovers of restricted MTL puffs. The coil has an instant heat-up time and the flavor of my mexico is quite faithful and decent from the first puffs, no weird taste. For my taste this 1.2Ω MD Mesh Pod has a very tight airflow, and I am a lover of RDL / DL type Vaping so in my considerations I have to try to understand the wishes of MTL users, and I am sure that a they likes this stream. Furthermore, MTL users will be able to appreciate a decent vapor production, no overheating even during the chain vape, good blow in the throat, absence of spitting and condensation formations.
• MD Mesh Pod 0.8Ω:
This cartridge supplied as standard in the package is the one I prefer, because it suits my style of vaping the most. It is still a type of MTL vaping but it is more open and not as tight as what the 1.2Ω MD Mesh Pod. Compared to before, the amount of clouds has increased. The heat remains low and the flavor settles on previous levels which are decent although not comparable to what devices with replaceable coils can offer. No inconvenience even with this 0.8Ω MD Mesh Pod, the shot is smooth and spit-free, I could not see even a droplet of condensation inside the compartment / pod or on the bottom of the MD Mesh Pod.
