Hello again everyone my next review is going to be on a Pod system from the fine folks at Freemax called the Maxpod. Freemax claims the Maxpod has been in development for 3 years. Their Mesh coil is supposed to be the best coils for every type of flavor that one might vape, it is also claims to support all blends of VG/PG and freebase Nicotine or nic salts. Before I delve into the review, as always lets get to know the Freemax Maxpod kit a little better.

INITIAL IMPRESSIONS AFTER UNBOXING THE MAXPOD

The Freemax Maxpod was packaged very nicely with the battery, pod and 2nd coil on top in a nice form fitted tray that sits on top of another box that contains your charge cord, user manual, warning card, warranty card, lanyard ring and a lanyard also. Nice little extras Freemax included with Maxpod kit.

Alright folks the first thing I'll cover is the menu witch the Maxpod has none as most pod based systems in this size don't, also there are no buttons as the Maxpod is a draw activated only pod . The pod is held in place with 2 very strong magnets.

    20200613_074731.jpg

I'm glad that Freemax made the Pod itself clear for easy viewing of your juice level and making the fill port large and mess free when filling juice.

There are 2 tiny holes located on each side of the Maxpod, one being just above the charge port and the other in the same position on the other side. Small airholes because the Maxpod is strictly a MTL device.

When charging the Maxpod a LED indicator light located in front illuminates

The Maxpod is a sturdy strong device that feels very well made with some heft to it but still being light enough to carry in a shirt pocket. The battery capacity for this device is 550 mAH that puts out a constant voltage of 3.3 volts and a wattage output of 8-11 watts. The LED serves 2 purposes, the first being a charge indicator and the other being a battery meter that uses colors for battery strength ( WHITE - 71-100 ) ( GREEN - 31 - 70 ) RED ( 1 - 31 )

The 2 Coils that come with the kit use Flax Cotton and both work extremely well for flavors with my preference being the 1.0Ω coil that gives a slightly warmer vape than the 1.5Ω coil.

The Maxpod is very comfortable in the hand and is a nice sized device ( SIZE REFERANCE )

    20200613_080247.jpg

The Maxpod has a big enough base so it can stand upright without falling over.

Now to the most important details being flavor and vapor performance. The Maxpod is the best flavor producer of any Pod system in this size class in my opinion and I've tried very many. The flavor this little guy puts out not to mention the vapor output also just surprised me so much. Freemax has always been known for great flavor devices and coils and Maxpod is no exception, this truly is the best flavor producing Pod in this size class as of todays date.

There's not much more to go over on the Maxpod other than the draw activation that has worked very well for me. I also love how quickly the Maxpod charges, from dead to full in under a hour. Again folks this is the BEST FLAVOR POD in this size class.

I would like to thank Linda, Tina and Freemax for providing the Maxpod Kit for review and I also hope this review helped anyone looking to purchase the Freemax Maxpod Kit.

    THANK YOU

Great review again Bob. Looks good for a pod because of great flavour and changeable coils.

You're really getting good at this reviewing thing, Bob. Love the style- good pics, organized, no nonsense wasting time on redundant stuff nobody really cares about. You're rapidly becoming my favorite & most trustworthy reviewer, if you're not already.

My only gripe is that after loading up, I'm kind of "married" to my pod system, and now you're making me want to try another. Dammit! ;)

Not sure what juice you vape normally, but let us know how those coils hold up, will ya? Since I use NET, that's a biggie for me. Ceramic seems to be the secret sauce for longevity with NET for me (more than double the life I've gotten with traditionals), but I haven't tried a flax/mesh coil pod.

Like everyone else has stated, excellent review. Being a flavor chaser and loving the recharge time I may have to try this one out. I like having something this size to throw in my pocket for running errands. Also like you mentioned Freemax knows how to make great coils. Easily my favorite drop-in coils are Freemax, they just last and always put out excellent flavor with flavor being my first, second, and third most important requirements when considering a new setup.

Thanks for the complement buddy, I use so many different flavor profiles in juice and don't limit myself to only specific flavors when testing devices. I haven't tried NET juices yet, as far as lifespan of these coils go I've filled the pod maybe 12 or 14 times and flavor is still there. I tried something with the Maxpod today and like it even more, my vaping style is so goofy because it goes like this, early morning I like a very tight MTL and by mid morning I start to use more air still MTL and when afternoon rolls around I open the airflow up more on my devices for a restricted DL to full air, after dinner it's back to MTL ( GOOFY I KNOW ). Getting back to what I was saying, earlier this morning I inadvertently closed 1 of the airholes with my finger and of course the airflow tightened up more and I found out that I like it even better this way. A tiny piece of tape is now on one of the air holes. :)

    Somewhere between here and there
    How did you like it?

It seemed like I got a little warmer and stronger vape. I have the 1.5 coil installed and it’s a little weak for me. I like the 1.0 better. It did improve the vape with the 1.5.
