I'm one day in on this thing and it's horrible. Constant "atomizer short," messages, requiring me to fiddle with the tightness/looseness of the tank. One puff, fine - next puff, message, more fiddling. Rinse/repeat, pretty constantly.

Is anyone happy with these? I think it's nothing but junk.

I've been tightening/loosening for an hour, now and no luck, so I have to switch out to a new tank.

This was an incredibly expensive 24-hour use disposable tank.

Had my Freemax for about 4 months now and used on various mods, though not my favorite tank, I had no problems with it. Above mentioned, may be correct. Can you return it, maybe a dud. Also, maybe Mod related not making enough of a contact. Try another Mod if you have others.

At this point I’m basically betting that the problem is the 510 male connector is too long for the 510 female connector you have. The standard solution for this is to shim the base in some way. A fiber washer is a good method, but just about anything non conductive will work. There’s one thread around here about a guy who used a guitar pick with a hole in it

I have the e-leaf Istick. I've never had any issues with it.

I do plan on taking it back to the retailer, but I have read some other reports of this atomizer problem. Unfortunately, it was after I bought it.

Another thing I notice is that when I try to take the tank off, it's incredibly difficult. I have to fiddle with it for a long time, because more times than not, turning it to unscrew it just makes the tank want to come apart.

I don't know why I keep trying to change from my Cleito Aspire tanks; never any real issues. I just keep hearing about how there are much better tanks. I have had negative experiences with the Crown III, as well. Everything tastes like metal in that tank.

The reason I'd like to get away from the Cleito tanks is because they are hard to fill with eye-dropper style juices, but that issue is minor in comparison of what I'm experiencing with others.

Thanks, everyone.

I have noticed with new Freemax Coils that the o-ring is rarely seated in the proper position – most likely installed incorrectly during assembly. If the o-ring is not in the correct position, it will not only promote leaking but may also prevent the coil from making proper contact.

Better is very much in the eye of the beholder with vaping in general. Whatever keeps you off the smokes keeps you off the smokes. As for the mod, a big DL atty like that would drain the battery on an iStick really fast anyway. You don’t really have enough mod for that atty to begin with.

Which e leaf istick?
There are varietys from 10w to 200w with various working ohm ranges.
If it is difficult to remove sounds like you're overtighting to begin with (just tight enough to prevent wobbling).
If the tank comes apart instead of the 510 coming loose certainly sounds too tight or the threads have been boogered.

I haven't noticed an issue. It seems to be draining approximately the same as usual.

Mine goes up to 80, but around the 52 mark is where it's best for me with this tank. The taste is great.

I suspected as much. I only tightened it that tight when I read you have to fiddle with the tightness to get the connection.

About an hour after my OP, I tried again and it's been working beautifully since. /shrugs.

Ah. I thought they topped out at 40w. Haven’t used one in a long time I guess.

Yep, I’ve had that happen. But that’s the only trouble I’ve had with that tank, except once it slid open in a pocket.

As much as I’ve used and loved eleaf products, they’re the only mods I’ve ever had contact issues with. Picos seem to be the worst offenders - you can search and find a lot about how tank pins that are too long cause problems reading coils - but I’ve had the same with Isticks.

And yes you maybe got a lemon, but I’m thinking it’s more likely the istick.

I dont have the Pro but have the original Freemax Mesh. I think that particular tank was over rated. The coils drop in flavour to me after just 2 days. Recently I thought maybe was a bad batch I had so after 8 months of it sitting idle I got some coils. Same deal, 2 days and flavour drops. Still taste it but my Plex is way better. To me it dropped by 60%. Maybe that is different with the Pro but I'm not game to waste mt money trying it.
