vape Royalty has responded (my retailer), they have confirmed an influx of issues and they are also reaching out to Freemax. They have been great (probably best communication I have had with a vape etailer). Even when I first ordered they were trying to help me get my Sig and these tanks before I left town.

Starre never responded to my email.

@Rixsta no sweating your early positive reviews against some of these issues that arised. Poo happens and it seems hit and miss. If anything this has made me appreciate the positive experience I have had with the Maganus V2 (Starre G1) and this Crown tank. Sometimes the next big thing just makes you appreciate what you had.

Day 2. No leaking and I have filled the tank once.

@LooseWiring - when you screw the cap on, it actually leaves it in the ON position. You have to rotate it counter-clockwise for a bit to turn it to the OFF position (by ON/OFF, I am referring to the wording at the top of the tank). At least that's what I had to do, and no leaking since I have been doing it.
Yep, this is true..

When you screw it back on, it will automatically turn to "on", make sure it is on the off position before you start vaping again, common issue with this tank, they messed up the direction......

how? when you unscrew it, it should turn to "on", and when you screw it back in, it should automatically turn to "off"

now... the starre tank, when you screw it off, it turns to "off", when u screw it on, it turns to "on"

confusing but pretty much: make sure you turn it to "off" when you screw the top cap on after refilling

Off = safe
On = refill mode, will spill

start at 7:13

My bad. In my post I had On & Off backwards. I didn't see the label on the top and assumed the position that had the cruise out tank to be "off".

The label on the top clearly says Off is the counter-clockwise position and On is the clockwise.

Last night before I hit the sack I set the tank/mod on its side after making sure the switch was set to "off".

Not a speck of leakage.

Mine finally arrived today. Getting burnt hits on the .25 kanthal coils at anything above 45w. Any suggestions? (I swapped the stock Ni coil for a .25 DVC kanthal.)

ON/OFF is set to OFF. Tried turning it to ON, the dry hits have stopped.
Seems like some of these tanks are marked incorrectly? No idea what the issue is.

I have found that when you fill the tank, the quicker you screw the top on and turn the switch to off, the less chance you have of it leaking. I tested this today and left it a few mins before turning it to off and it leaked pretty bad. It's unacceptable though and I find myself using my Starre V2 more and more.

So tank sat for a good hr. Took a few pulls before I left the house let it sit then came back. Been taking big pulls and chain vaping it, I have to say no issues for me yet. I do wish it wicked a little faster. But no leaks which means I'm happy. I'm using the .25 kanthal also.

I can see that but I don't know why someone would screw the cap on then just let it sit for a little till they turn it "off".

Agree with this completely. You have to get it turned to OFF immediately after you twist it on. Even if left for a minute, I found leaking starts. Best way to check is once in OFF, tilt the device sideways with the air chamber wide open. If any leaked thru, it will come out immediately. I am now forcing myself to check this each time I fill just to make sure I moved it to OFF and no liquid leaked into the air chamber. A bit of a nuisance, but I still like the device. I do wonder how it compares to earlier versions though.

I am thinking that since VG is so viscous and slow-moving, my theory is that either all VG or close to all VG eliquid may resist leaking a little bit more. Just a theory though. I have yet to fill mine, but I wil be using 90% VG.

Note: the term "Max VG" gets thrown around a lot, but it means nothing unless you know the PG content; after all, there could be 35% PG flavoring in the liquid. I am sure most here know that, but a lot don't realize it's more of a marketing term than any real insight into the VG content of an eliquid.
