Theres a good chance you fried it, don't know what theyre rated for draw, but with dual 1.8's you're actually at .9ohm

Assuming normal operating voltage on that resistance and you're drawing over 4 amps, i doubt the ego is designed to handle that.

Try temporarily hooking the battery up to the charger for a min or two (watch it, in case it is damaged) and see if you can get it to essentially "reset" itself.

You can't expect a mini eGo to run dual coil; it wasn't designed to do that.

Try a single coil, to see if your mini eGo still works. If it doesn't, the power circuit is blown.

It's possible to replace the circuit board, but the parts & labor will exceed the price of the battery. If you're thinking of tossing it, pm me; I'll cover shipping.

So your saying the ohms drop when you have duals in a dripper.

how did you crank the carto down, you could have shorted the center pin

I believe the eGo has "short protection" built in..either its shorted or perhaps it drew too much current trying to fire that dual coil, inside the eGo there are VERY small wires, it could have popped the wire or the solder joint.

Try the center pin fix..check the voltage if it is actually pushing voltage...if not...if you are confident enough you could pop it open to check the wires, if the led on the button stays on but no firing...wire inside could be smoked

Good luck

Electrically speaking, we're dealing with a parallel circuit--1.8Ω dual coil is really two 3.6Ω coils side-by-side on the same connector. :)

1.8Ω is perfectly fine on an eGo-class battery, but a 420mAh battery won't last very long with a 1.8Ω atty. If you want to use dual coils on your eGos, get a larger capacity battery--at least 650 mAh. Or switch to single-coil atties of medium resistance--1.8-2.2 Ω. Dual coils are tricky.

1.1 or 1.0Ω is sudden death though. As soon as the resistance of the atomizer goes down to 1.0Ω, the infamous MOSFET will fail. It's a well known flaw in the design of the short circuit protection in the eGo class units.

It sounds like your atty shorted and possibly killed your battery. Do you own a multimeter? If so, check the resistance of your atty--and the voltage of your battery. That should give you some clarity.

its sounds like a screwy low battery condition i have with one of my generic 510 batts.
try a tank that worked before and also hooking up your charger.
variuos combinations of one or the other.
if you can get it to a point where you can get it to shut off put it on the charger for a full charge.
it may take several attempts before the charge will kick in also.

regards
mike
