Easiest, but not guaranteed: soak them in vodka for at least an hour, then rinse them in scalding hot water for five minutes straight or more. Blow dry, and prime immediately with a couple drops of juice.

Harder: pry the spike off the top and remove and gently wash the wick, and dry burn the atomizer. There are several threads in this sub forum on how to do both, along with other tips. There are also a number of vids on YouTube. Just search it for cleaning e-go C atomizer. :)

dry burning/vodka is the only thing that'll get rid of the taste effectively for me. But sometimes if the wick has also been burnt (which can be done if you let it run dry, as ive discovered from opening up one of my old atties) then it seems to not carry the liquid down to the coil as effectively as it should, which will result in you inhaling the sort of smell you get when you dry burn. In this case you can either try clipping the burnt ends or strands with nail scissors, or re-wick it if you have the resources like you have!
