Hi all, just wanted to introduce myself and share a bit of my story

I smoked cigarettes for about 12 years, pack a day. Two years ago I got fed up with all the new taxes being introduced driving up the prices and as a protest made the switch to smoking a pipe, the first day I picked up a pipe I never had another cigarette since.. really pipes are so much better as was the imported danish virginia / preique I had enjoyed, the first year and a half I didn't inhale at all. Well about 6 months ago I started hitting the pipes hard and inhaling, just as bad as cigarettes health wise (I assume).

So I had been worried a bit about the health aspects lately and about a week ago a banner for Blu Cigs caught my eye so I decided to click it (I never click on ads) this got me interested so I googled a bit and found ECF. Early last week I placed an order for a silver vein silver bullet from altsmoke, some 510 cartomizers and a handful of juices from madvapes, everything arrived friday afternoon. My last pipe was enjoyed at work before I got home to this package, since then I've been vaping non stop and loving it! Haven't even considered breaking out the pipe after packing it all away in a box Friday night. Favorite juice so far is Top Vapor Nutty Caramel, I'm not crazy about the fruit flavors I received (blueberry is ok, blackberry is nasty).

I have an order in for a 2.4Ohm MAP tank from clouds of vapor, some dessert juices from kickbassvapor and gourmet vapor and some LR mega cartos from ikenvape. Can't wait for this stuff to get here.

Its great to wake up and not be coughing up tons of lung butter, though I am a bit disappointed it went away so fast, literally the first morning after not smoking was clear, makes me think I wasn't doing as much damage as I anticipated with the pipe. It was the same way stopping cigarettes for me, never really had much clearing the lungs out after.

A big thank you goes out to everyone here at ECF for making a lot of excellent info available, it made the switch for me very comfortable after a little reading. :vapor:

great for you! i took the opposite road from you lol started with a pipe many years ago...got fed up b/c it was more expensive back then to get good tobacco and switched to cloves then cigarettes. Finally two years ago went to little cigars after the tax increases. Four months ago, switched to vaping and havent looked back since. Reminds me alot of the joys I had with smoking a pipe, including all the fiddling around and enjoying diff. flavors. Now what I would like is a form factor that simulates the the smoking of a pipe. It doesnt have to look like a pipe in my opinion b/c this IS something diff. but there was always something interesting in a tactile way when smoking a pipe...so I will keep my eyes peeled for that. might have to catch the modding bug in order to make something that fits lol
glad to have you on board! May your vaping be long lasting!

Thanks guys!

Noodoggy, I agree about the nice tactile feeling of a pipe.. they look cool and are fun to hold. I suspect it may even be easier for us ex pipe smokers to adapt to mods with unusual form factors, I never really wanted one resembling a cigarette. I'm pretty sure that pipe shaped pv's exist too though I have no idea how well they work.

I just ordered a Jazz Cartopipe.

Jazz cartopipe the first Cartomizer Pipe

I currently use the same batt and cart as Jazz Pipe; 18350 batt and mega dual coil cart.
Great performing 1200 mAh batt and 1.6 ohm dual cart.

I feel confident I will love using the Jazzepipe w/ pride.
My current mod works great but I feel a little strange in public.
My M401 is great for hands free but the draw is a bit tough.

check out ePipeMods - Personal Vaping Devices with Style. Buy eCigs, eCigars, and ePipes online Matt is an awesome vendor and he will make custom pipes. Im currently waiting for a custom Rhodesian and am enjoying their C2 pipe.

Pipes look much nicer than other mods IMHO.

Judging from pipe reviews and my PV experience I see no reason why pipes won't perform excellent.

I get all the TH I can handle from 3.7 v.

Vapor production from 3.7v is massive compared to analog; who needs more.
