The GG actually looks like a device I might want to own with this wonderful finish. Too bad there is such a drastic demarcation between the sections of this battery tube. A finely-crafted PV would show virtually no evidence of seams between sections.

I think that thing on the bottom is for shutting off the unit when its in your pocket etc. and then turning it back on when needed. Also quovadis I know that you are interested in high voltage. I would check out GG forum there is something he's doing so you can get 7.2 volts. Check it out.

Yes, the protruding 'thing' is for shutting it off .. eleven turns !! There has been times that I burnt up an atty rather than turn it on and off .. I wish there didn't have to be so many turns.

I think that may have something to do with the polishing that was done to this one(although it does look very sharp polished). I own a GGT(unpolished) myself and the sections mate perfectly with a demarcation line which is very difficult to see.

Good point. The GG does not ship shined up like the one Hokie had done by chad.

Correct. I've seen them both ways now and I don't know which I like more(the GGT I'm talking about). Although, the Silver Bullet, no hands down, spit polished is perfection.

If you like the SB fit and finish, I highly recommed the AdapteveR. It feels so darn good in my hand I hardly want to put it down.
