I have (had?) a 40+ year tobacco habit, 1 month into vaping and I haven't smoked an analog in week. Still carrying a pack I've had for 2 weeks when it falls apart and I throw it away I'll have gone from habit to hobby. Thanks to ECF for helping make it possible for me to move from an Ego starter kit to VV to mech mods and rba's and get rid of a habit that for me has been impossible to break for over 40 years. vaping is wonderful thing!

Today is my 19th day of no cigarettes. Started with a Buck Naked e-cig. Cost me around 25 dollars. Just received my Kamry K100 in the mail today. Trying to get the feel for a mechanical. Having a almost metallic taste (not great with vanilla juice). Anyone know the cause of this?

the taste comes from the atomizer... perhaps cleaning it out and an alcohol wipe and dry would help? good luck!

Hey Boatman I know how you feel, I had tried everything and had resigned to the fact i was gong to smoke until it killed me. It was my tobacconist that was puffing on a PV (EVOD and EGO) in his shop while i was buying a pack and I thought it looked like something that was close to smoking and better for me, so i bought 2 - one for me and one for the wife. Went home flooded the hell out of it dragging on it like a cig, went back in told him it was crap, he told me I was doing it wrong, shwed me how to do it right - WOW . . . . haven't even thought about a cig since. Now it has gone well beyond just vaping, it is a hobby (and can be a very expensive one if you let it). I now spend a lot of time now helping others get into vaping and love it. So I know where you are coming from. Enjoy the Vape.

Congrats! 35+ years and had no luck with ANYTHING! I tried vaping and it was off to the races! I haven't had nor wanted a cig in over 3 months now. You should be proud of yourself. It is proven time and time again in this forum that vaping really does work. If you give it an honest try, it will be the best decision anyone could make!

From Habit....To Hobby....To Obsession.....

I think I may already fall into that last category. When I get home this week awaiting the caresses of my formerly nicotine stained fingers should be vapemail containing, 1 vv device, 2 mech mods, a dozen atty's and enough recoiling supplies and tools to make any DIY guy grin. :mail:
