I've been vaping for a month now and it is awesome! Ordering and trying out new juices and products has turned my bad habit into a fun hobby. I really love all the information in these forums, I've found an answer to every question i've had through ecf and I hope to add to it as well. Now I just hope my addiction to new mods and vape goodies dosnet cost more than my old addiction to analogs! lol

I have been vaping for about 2 months longer than you. I am a DIY type of guy and I am already mixing my own juice, have several tanks, several batteries and... It's very addicting I know. Just keep safety in mind because batteries can and will blow up if used wrong and nicotine can and will kill you if you don't take safety seriously.

I started with a handme down eGo and a few half empty bottles of donated juice from a friend. Now he's always hitting me up for batteries and juice when he runs out :p It will be a long time before I venture into the diy liquids as I now have a nice collection of flavors to go through. I do have my eyes on a Provari but I'm going to try out an eGo Twist before I take the plunge and drop that kind of coin on a VV mod.

So Calif
Welcome to ECF and congrats on your transition ;)

Ego Twists are good batteries, I have a few I use for dripping DIY batches for taste tests; )

If you like the Ego VV you will love a Provari and my crystal ball sees one in your future ;) There is nothing else like it for reliability, features and finding the sweet spot for your juice. An added plus is they are built like a tank and your last hit will taste the same as your first hit even as it blinks for you to swap the battery for a fresh one.

I like fish. Then I took up fishing. $30,000 and 20 years later I'm still doing it.

Congrats to everyone here!

I think the support of a board is an influence on who is successful and sticks with it and those that don't. Especially when first starting. The few people I know that vape and don't post or haven't joined a board haven't stuck with it. My sister being one of them. :(

Spot on.. I would also add information to support. I tried ecigs about a year ago...(you know those "mall" brands). Very frustrating, hardly worked, taste was poor, etc.. that lasted about a week. I thought the whole thing was a joke based upon my limited experience. Then, recently, I stumbled on to ECF and bingo... Shared experiences, solutions, options! No looking back now.

I got a couple sister's like that. I've tried and tried to get them to join. One of them just said she wants to give it another try so keeping fingers crossed!

Not to sound like a fanboy, but once you make the plunge for a Provari you won't regret it.

I began vaping just over 4 months ago with the cig look-a-likes from Smokeless Image. They worked great, enough that I could quit smoking w/o looking back. I just got tired of switching out batteries every 3-4 hours or so.

I moved on to my first mods, a BB and Silver Bullet. Learned I liked the larger capacity of carto tanks. Learned that I liked polypropylene and pyrex tanks over the cheap polycarbonate tubes. Learned that I preferred single coil cartomizers over the dual coils in my tanks. Then I got a taste of variable, higher voltage and began my search for a better mod to achieve that.

I didn't want to "kick" my SB, because to change the voltage you have to remove the kick and battery and then adjust the kick with a screwdriver. I'd always read about the good things about the Provari, but the cost always held me back.

When the new colors came out this month, I couldn't resist. So glad that I did. It's everything that I've read about. Until you've seen one, held one, and vaped one, you'll just never understand.
