That looks great! Mine does not have a top. That would be tough to do. That leather should last a long time and give good protection! Great job!

Thank you! Although I'm not sure what will be protecting what -- the solid block of alluminum or a thin piece of leather :) But it feels softer and warmer in the hand.

Very cool and mad skills Karen. They look fantastic and would provide excellent protection. Im extremely careful with my wood REOs and they never leave the house. I feel the same as Della Cirque does even tho I got jammys and constant wax to protect them from the natural oil the hand produces. :) Otherwise I'd be begging for a couple. Besides Im a plunger not a sqounk hole kinds of guy. Your generosity is unparalleled!!

I changed my mind about covers after I got Karen's. (I know it's a huge surprise that I changed my mind about something! ) Karen's is soft and thin enough to not be bulky, but thick enough to protect. I love mine. :)

Hi Karen
Mine came today
I absolutely love it
Thanks so much

Can you make me a jacket out of that material?

I am so happy that you like it!

Never thought of a wearable for people! It is funny, I was using my VV Grand with the cover today and noticed I was rubbing my thumb up and down on it. Really lucked out getting a material that I still love to feel!

I wouldn't mind having a jacket out of it either! Might chose a different color, but that is all I would change!

Still have enough left for quite a few REO's I think.

Karen, you've inspired me to make my own. Found a chunk of black leather, spent an evening sewing it (yes, my fingers are bleeding). Watered it and put it on a Grand to shrink-fit.

So now I can't use my Grand til it dries overnight, and my wife is calling my manly leather case a cozy :grr:

I would like a black leather too
Are you going to make them for all of us too ?

Sorry, Larry :( I'm not as awesome as Karen, and can't make those for free. Can't sell them either due to restrictions of these forums, though I'm somewhat fuzzy about putting them on classifieds.
Functionally, though, Karen's fabric ones are the same.

Anything you make in quantity and sell gives you the title of supplier. You must apply for a supplier status on ECF.

But you can make stuff and give it away.

I do not accept any money for the covers I make. Sometimes people will send a stamped envelope which I use for their cover.
