From Volt X2 to Ego (510) - What route to still use 808 threaded accessories?

I have a Volt X2. What are my best options for a Manual Ego style (510) passthrough with an adapter that will still allow me to use my SI Clearomizers and carts?

From what I have read, certain adapters for using 808 threaded mods on 510 manual batteries don't allow proper airflow? Can someone help me understand this better?
I would like to 'upgrade' to a more universal manual 510 Ego battery but still use my SI (808) accessories.
Additionally, does anyone know of a cheaper, non branded case like SI's here that they may use or know of used to hold some of your kit while on the go?

It's the right place, but it's a tough question.

I think I have seen some 808 threaded Ego-like passthrus, but I'm not sure.
I don't use 808s so I'm just trying to go by what I might have remembered reading.

Anyway, someone should come along eventually who can shed some more light on this.

The Volt X2 is an Ego style 808 threaded passthrough.

What I am hoping to do is get a new, manual, 501 ego so that I can start getting 501 accessories as well, but ideally be able to use my current SI clearomizers and cartos on it as well. Does that make sense?

I know there are adapters, but I had heard that some of the adapters don't allow proper airflow through for 808 threaded devices, and I just wanted to make sure I get one that would not cause that problem.

The Volt X2 is both 808 threaded and Ego threaded. I know this isn't what you asked, but you can use Ego threaded stuff on the Volt X2.
As far as 510/808 adapters - Sorry I can't recommend one - haven't used one.

The problem with 808 adapters is that most are ACTUALLY 901 adapters. The threads are identical, but 901 atomizers have a hole in the side for airflow, while 808's have the bottom style airflow. You have to make sure the adapter is specifically for 808's.
