frustrated..... help please

I quit smoking and started vaping 12 weeks ago. While my craving for nic is satisfied, I am still searching for the perfect "hit". There is so much out there and I am in full out data overload.

I started with an evod. The b&m store that sold it to me told me it was from a very reputable company, made by kanger tech, blah, blah, blah. I like knowing where my products come from, so I looked them up online. I paid $70 for a non kanger product, I was so mad. I no longer do business with them. I found another shop and while the ladies in there are knowledgeable the owner never has anything in stock.

I have purchased tanks. Kanger Protank 3, Kanger Aero tank Mega, Aspire Nautilus and a couple small T3Ds and T3Ss. (Not all at once, just a piece here and there)

I have purchased batteries. Joy tech twist, iTaste MPV 2.0.

Please help! Any suggestions are welcome. I just don't want to spend anymore money to all be dissatisfied.

Spend once more on 30 gauge kanthal, cotton or cellucotton and a few tools. Youtube will show you how to rebuild those kanger T3's and your vape quality will change drastically for the better. I've been building my coils for over 2 years now and could never vape off a factory stock coil...ever.
Your Joy tech twist, iTaste MPV 2.0 are plenty fine to fire a good 1.4 ohm build in one of those T3's. Don't hassle with dual/vertical coils, learn with single coils then advance as you see fit.

I think more than anything, I miss the warmth. If that makes any sense. And the puff of smoke when I exhaled.

Heck, maybe I am not using my gear correctly.

I also missed the warmth of smoke when I first started on ecigs. I then purchased an istick eleaf 30w and haven't looked back. I vape at 15-20 watts and it's nice and warm with plenty of vapour.

Vaping is so subjective -- everyone has different preferences!

But if you're looking for more warmth and more vapor, the Evod and T3s aren't going to work. I have an Evod VV with a T3D and love it for driving, or at my desk at work, but it produces no warmth and less vapor than my other devices.

My latest that I'm very happy with produces more warmth and vapor and is very adjustable to your liking. iStick 50w by eleaf - but the latest version has been hard to get in stores, you'd probably need to buy from a reputable online store (a 30w might be good too - ask around the forums) with a Kanger subtank mini. This combination gives me more warmth, more vapor, and more options.

I found a store I like for gear - Brad's Vapor - Brad (the owner) has been very helpful and seems to be a very honest and upstanding guy. After several purchases and speaking with Brad several times, I feel confident enough to recommend it. I didn't get my istick there, but I just checked and he has them.

I also have an Atlantis and an Aspire CF subohm. I didn't really like this gear, but hubby did so I gave it to him. I thought the atlantis was too hard to fill and the vapor was too airy even when set on the lowest air setting, and with the CF subohm it was too warm (and not adjustable like my istick).

I'm sorry you haven't found the right gear yet, but don't give up. It's out there. Before you buy something else based on recommendations here, look up reviews on youtube - that will help.

I haven't owned most of the clearos you have, I admit, other than the AT Mega, and its been awhile. The Kangers are probably only good in the 7-9W range. I know that Nauti can be trned up higher. Have you tried it at 11W on your mvp? If not, see if that's more satisfying.

If its not, an istick 30W should liven it up, vaping around 15W.

There are a lot of new subohm clearos out now. Kanger Subtank, Aspire Atlantis, and some others. But, you'll need a mod to go with them. I would recommend the Sigelei 50W. I'm getting reports of the istick 50Ws failing due to subohming, so not recommending it until I have more info. I have 3 of them myself, so don't take that as my not liking them. I'm just being careful with them until I have more info.

I'm not all that familiar with the types of hardware that you have, though I do know the names and that they are what it would take to make a 'complete rig'. You certainly don't need to spend any more money, but FYI this is the setup I started on - Vapor Cigarette 650 | Tastypuff. Also read some of the articles here in the Library, specifically this one - Inhalation technique with an e-cigarette, which I think will help you out. Good luck bud! :toast:

I've been vaping for a similar amount of time however I still smoke (I have gone from a pack of 12mg a day to a pack of 1mg a week). I myself find vaping quite different and aside from the potential health benefits vs smoking, it has a fair bit going for it (lower cost, so many flavours, house / car smells fresh etc etc etc), but I still find it doesn't replace a cigarette and I'm not convinced it can produce a hit that will.

What I did was very recently got myself a rebuildable atty, I'm finding it great, building and tweaking for a better vape and enjoying the results. It still doesn't replace a smoke but it's a hell of a lot more enjoyable than running out in the rain to pay $25 for a pack.

With the premade stuff I was using previously it was more like OK I'll have this so I don't smoke much, now I'm more just vaping because I enjoy it in the same way that I smoked because I enjoyed it, really helping to change the mindset. Not sure if all the messing around is for you but I'm finding it satisfying.

There's a lot of people fronting machines out there that aren't the real deal. When I bought my first one from a flea market, I thought it was a joyetech one, I didn't realize that the terms Ego-C twist on it just was referring to what type it was, not who manufactured it and of course, there's no clue on it. While the guy didn't misrepresent it to me, he also didn't go out of his way to tell a person very new to vaping what the differences would be between a knock off and an actual machine. I think I maybe got a week out of that machine . . . before the threading had gone to hell and it started losing its mind.

It can happen to anyone, hun. I made a huge deal when purchasing my second machine (A Joyetech Evic) to buy it directly from Joyetech even though it was slightly inconvenient. I know there are good vape stores out there actually selling product that is what it says it is but I didn't want to take a chance on getting another dud.

I think the other peeps have the right idea on advice. Just keep looking for the machine that works for you because everyone is different. :)

Being a new vaper and getting "bait and switch", not being told the whole story when purchasing or having a vendor tell you what you wanna hear and not the whole truth is a regular occurrence. Your only real weapon is knowledge and that only comes with time, reading and wanting to know. Many are happy with just the basic setup (ego/clearo) but if you plan on vaping the best you can vape then you in for a steep learning curve and a path with many forks in it concerning what kind of gear your after. I haven't bought any gear other than juice from a vendor in 2 years, and now I DIY my juice so I can cut the juice vendors out also. I buy from COOPs and I know exactly what I'm getting and so far after being involved in over 40 coops I haven't been disappointed with opening vapemail and then realize you've been burnt. I have suffered the bait and switch from a internet vendor and that was the last vendor I bought from.
My wife and I have had nothing short of a fantastic vape experience thank to rebuilding my coils, genuine gear and COOPs.

New vaper here...seems like a shady business...Bought a Blu disposable...supposed to last 400 puffs...yeah right...I was lucky if it lasted 150. tried a Vuse rechargeable....battery crapped out after about 5 recharges....bought a logic compatible kit from EasyVapors.com. battery crapped out after 5 days and was told by their customer service too bad...so sad. I don't vape nor did I smoke much... just looking for a lower cost alternative to real cigs. the lingo and options is awfully confusing and as a lower cost option i'm not seeing it so far.

You may be using your gear correctly but need something with a bit more power and air flow to achieve the warmth and volume of vapor you would find satisfying. A Kanger Subtank Mini paired with a minimum of a 20 watt device that will fire a .5 coil will allow for a warmer vape as well as increased air flow that will produce more vapor. The Subtank Mini comes with factory heads as well as a rebuildable deck should you ever want to venture into building your own coils.

Enjoying vaping more than smoking is the best guarantee that you you won't return to cigarettes. Unless you think that your current gear is broken in some way I would suggest not wasting much more time fooling with it.

If your local vendors aren't good ones there are plethora of excellent online vendors.
