In my journey, 2.5 months, I have finally found 'my' taste.
After getting my hands on my first rda, I found it sort of frustrating that I was constantly having to mess with coils/wicks, especially wicking. Getting it just right seemed to be very difficult as I kept getting dry hits. When I figured that out I turned my attention to coils. Played with many, single, dual, open, closed, big, small, smaller and from .9 ohm down to .3 ohm, and I finally found to one that I like best. 26ga, 5 wrap on a .093" pin, parallel single coil giving .34 ohms.
I finally have the heat I was searching for all along, but never knew until trying it. Makes the flavors jump and throat hit as well.
Vapor is right there with a dual running the same resistance but it is a little hotter. Makes the flavors creamier!
Tried the 'sleeper coil' earlier today and I think that benefits a dual coil greatly with quicker light time and seemingly more vapor.
I'm a tinkerer by nature so my RDA's, all ten of them have a good home...
