I went and bought some 100% vg liquid for the first timetoday, i got my usual flavor(cinnamon) but it seems to have a funny taste to me...is this just a characteristic of 100% vg liquid or is there somethin I'm doin wrong

What do you mean by funny taste. VG is typically sweeter tasting so was that making it taste different. WIth a higher VG you are not going to get as much of a throat hit but will get more vapor. It is fun to play around with it though. I'm sure someone else will have more help for you. I usually stick around 50/50 and find it the best of both worlds. Happy vaping and have fun. 
did you cut the vg down with some pg or distilled water before mixing? If not, vg is pretty thick by itself.. I always use 10% distilled water and mix well before adding my flavorings to it.. Maybe the sweetness is from the vg has altered the taste of what you are use to.. play around with it and see..
Yeah it almost has a vegetable oil taste...I've talked to a couple people they say it wasn't mixed right
