I'm trying to figure out why he felt the need to stick his tongue out at the end. Pretty impressive landing though.

Tongue? Nailed it! One didn't....
Different world back then for sure! Actually took me a few seconds to notice the toy gun, rickety chair and cigar were first two things I noticed. And yes they were that realistic back then.
