they are spread out just enough and the color variance makes your eyes naturally drawn to the one dot when you see it making the other black dots blend into the grey background. Look inbetween the dots then you can make out 2,3 or even 4 of them.

Its a neat little pic.

you cant make out any? well thats interesting... wonder why that is. I can see 4 at once tops

every other cross section has a dot and none of the surrounding areas have one.
