Please excuse my ignorance here. I'm looking for a negative battery spring that also acts as a fuse. I have no clue what the proper name for these are. I do know that they are designed to collapse in case of a short thus breaking contact with the positive terminal. I'm not sure if they collapse at a certain amperage or temperature. Does anyone know what these things are called and where i can find them ?

I was afraid of that, I cant find a single thing on the net. Ever time I look up hot spring I get a bunch of Spa stuff and businesses in towns called hot spring. :/ frustrating. and I have looked up every combination of "collapse" and "spring" and "battery" that I would think possible. I think I have found what I want to use in my mod courtesy of willyb on the other thread. its a little PTC resettable fuse. (link in the other thread)
