Fuzion Vaporz Unicorn Blood

I've read all the rave reviews about the infamous Unicorn Blood and got a 30ml 6mg bottle from my local shop. Got home and primed a new carto took my first vape and got a burnt taste. I said ok bad carto... Primed another carto, took a hit same burnt taste. Said to myself, it can't be the juice... So I primed another carto, once again burnt taste. I went through 3/4 of my bottle trying all of the different tips and tricks about priming cartos (thanks to this forum I've learned a lot) and it's not the cartos.

I use a L-Rider Lavatube and SR 310 cartos with a large tank. I vape around 4.2 to 4.5 voltz. I've been vaping for 4 months now and I've never had this problem with anything that I've tried. I've use Drakes Vapes, Jameson's, vaping Monkey , Halo and Space Jam Robo Fuel. I've never had a problem with any of these juices. I've even had a bottle of Fuzion's XTC and never had an experience like this. What am I doing wrong???

Welcome to the forum.

Are you sure that they're standard resistance cartomizers? Burnt is either the filler material in the cartomizer burning or voltage is too high. If you're sure the cartomizer is completely full, it has to be voltage. Are you able to check the cartos? How is it if you lower the voltage on your lavatube?

Thank you. Yes they're SR cartos from Vape Rev. I tried low to almost 4.5. My last carto I was able to get about 5 vapes then a hint of a chemical burnt taste came through. So I decided to try the same carto with a different juice and it's working fine. I'm actually vaping that same carto on Drakes Vapes YOLO...

At first i tasted it, then i would get a really nasty after taste. I tossed out Gumbys blood, Unicorn, and bob marley blood. I prime all my cartos with the condom method. Only fuzion juice has done this. Unicorn Blood has a nasty after taste. I didn't like any of the fuzion flavors.

There's also another guy who just posted the same problem. I could not reply because I'm a noob. I feel bad for him because he ordered 120ml of the Unicorn Blood and the Endless Summer (I think that's the name). But he did say his friend ordered the Bob Marleys Blood and it was fine...

I Ordered a sample pack for $16. Bad Experience for me. I wont be buying from fuzion again.

To show how cool Fuzion Vaporz is, I contacted them through their website a received a response within the hour. Couldn't figure out what the problem was. I thought maybe it was a fresh batch or something. Anyways they're sending me a freebie which says a lot.

I'm getting a strange taste with my unicorn blood...not burnt but just...a strange chemically flavor. Haven't had that problem when I tasted it at my store. Also, it seems like it floods really easily. No matter what I put it in, I get flooding (cartotank, vivi nova, megavape, some random disposable clearomizers...doesn't matter which one) My gumby seems fine. -___-;; another waste. At least it's only 15 ml...

My last bottle only started getting good after a bit of cap off steeping. It's the saccharine in the juice I think that gives it the chalky chemical like taste, could be wrong. I would rate it fresh out of the bottle at 2/10 on flavor and 9/10 on chems but this changed drastically when I cap off steeped.

I have a great vendor for my fruit flavors so its really hard for me to like others, I really want this stuff to get good because Red Koolaid is a great flavor.

I love Fuzion Unicorn Blood at low wattage. At 6 watts it is delicious, at 8 watts and beyond it is harsh.
After letting it steep for a week or so try vaping it at super low wattage and work your way up, find your sweet spot.
I'm ordering more.

how long did you do a cap off steep? I've left it cap off in my closet for about 20 hours now but everyone has a different steep process..

I do a two day cap off with shaking as it goes, then replace cap and steep for as long as it takes shaking often.

Hmmm. I've really liked all the juices I've gotten from fuzion vapor. Unfortunely, I've never tried any of the bloods. I've had Pixie dust, the griffen, and Mr. Myagi. I've been using a Sigelei with a viva nova.

Trying Unicorn's Blood for the first time right now... it's actually a lot lighter and refreshing of a flavor than I was expecting. It's very tasty, and I think probably easy to vape a lot of without getting sick of it... time will tell...

I've had the same problem with the Unicorn blood this past week. Finally after a week I put a new 1.8 ohm coil in a mini Vivi Nova tank, set the voltage to 3 and it's perfect, been vaping on it all day long

This seems to be a picky juice in my experience. I have the best results with my zenesis running 1.1 ohm 28g coil, but I need to be mindful of keeping the device tipped so my wick is extra saturated. Even the thicker all vg stuff I vape doesn't require this tilting. The juice "burns" quicker than anything else I've tried. Shame because it is such a great tasting juice. I'll stick to Gumby Blood personally....yum.

ive had this happen to many of my friends that started vaping.

1) you should always check what your ohm is in any atomizer/cartomizer
2)prime it CORRECTLY. condom methon is best in my opinion and you always prime from the bottom up (were the Threading will be on your carto/atty)
3) always start from a low Volt/Watts setting 1st before adjusting it to "your sweet spot"
