Hi All.

Have been meaning to post this for more than a week...

Just trying to pay forward the good advice I got lurking this forum when I got going with all this less than a month ago.

Based on comments here I started out with the premium soft cap cartomizers from litecigusa.net. They have given me no problems, and I have no complaints with them.

BUT

I did happen to notice that various folks had mentioned looking for horizontal coil cartomizers, and when I then saw that elitevaporworks.com posted that they had them I grabbed a pack.

The draw on these is so consistent, quiet, and smooth! They are really fantastic and have upgraded my experience considerably. Unfortunately I bought them at the same time as some BWB peach juice, which is the only thing I've been using in them -- so I haven't been able to do an apples to apples comparison with the same juice in both types of carto. I like that juice so much more than the other flavors I have that I haven't wanted to sully one of these with one of the other flavors -- so the juice could have something to do with it I suppose.

Anyhow, they seem really great and make tons of vapor.

It could be my imagination, but I also seem to be able to fill them just a bit more before reaching the overfill point. I don't count drops, I just look at how moist the batting is, so that last detail could be in my head.

These are his "signature series" cartos...

I agree whatmonkey - I love their cartos! I also ordered a battery, and its great. The battery has a matte finish, and it feels nice. The combination of their cartos and battery is perfect - they're quiet, no primer puff needed, feels like smoking an analog. I've used 80/20 PG/VG, 60/40 VG/PG & 100% VG with the same consistent results.

Customer service is also fantastic, I got a shipping notification within hours of placing an order. And great pricing with free shipping.

The problem is that these cartos, just like the other horizontals out right now, work better on regulated batteries. The "new" technology batteries (elite vaporworks/bloog/nhaler) are regulated at a constant 3.6v. These cartos taste burnt on my freshly charged V4L batts, running at 4.2. The burnt taste goes away for me after a few minutes, and the carto isn't burnt, but its not meant to run on a 4.2 or even a 5v. Once your kr808 goes back down to 3.7 it should be fine.

YOu must be using boges then? They vape exactly the same, just cap is different, and also less weird taste in the soft cap ones... but still there though.

Hey Michelle,

Sorry, I didn't realize you had quoted me! LOL

The hard top ones I am using also have a rubber ring under the cap and they are horizontal coil. Are those Kangers?

I get them from a guy locally. Don't think he sells online but they seem to work identically to the Bloogs/NHaler, etc...

If they are hard cap with a rubber ring under, they shouldnt be horiz. Do you see a wire sitting on the tube in the middle? Never seen horiz with hard cap.

hardcap, wire on tube ---- old boge or kanger vertical coil. Or even smoore..

softcap, wire on tube-----new boge

softcap/drippercap, no visible wire-----new kanger or bloog/nhaler

Those are all i know, as of now..

Personally, I've only been able to use these on devices that didn't go above 3.2V, like an Elegant batt. On my kr808's(4.2-3.7V) or GLV2(5V), the juices taste burnt. What kind of hardware are you using?

Sorry for taking so long to reply!

As far as I know, I'm using "generic" batteries -- I have two automatics that I ordered from litecigusa.net. These are the only batteries I've ever used, so nothing to compare to.

In addition to the peach BWB that I've used in them, I also now have some mango 100% VG from americanliquidstore.com that a coworker sold to me (long story).

Side note: Had never tried any > VG ratio than whatever BWB uses (30% VG, I think?) -- the first time I hit a carto of the 100% VG there was so much vapor it made me cough. I couldn't believe what came out of my mouth! If only the flavor was a little bit better with 100% VG, I love the clouds and clouds of vapor!

So maybe I've just been lucky with these cartos, but on the two flavors I've tried so far I have no complaints. I do plan to go for a regulated battery whenever I need another one, just based on what I've read here...
