just to let everyone know. the kangertech protank is NOT solid stainless as most retailers advertise. they are in fact PLATED BRASS. i dropped one awhile ago and nicked the mouthpiece and went to polish the nick out (you can do that with stainless) and low and behold i saw COPPER shining thru. i polished a bit more and BAM... solid brass......

if id have known this in the beginning, i wouldnt have spent $18.00 apiece on these things. i bought mine specifically because they were stainless and i cant use brass. for some reason im allergic to it and it causes me blisters.

posting this just so everyones aware that they are misrepresented by the majority of the retailers out there. f they are getting this info from the manufacturers, maybe someone should call them on it.

no, mine says "KangerTech Protank" with their logo laser etched right into the bottom band of the tank, just below the glass...

i spoke to the retailer and they assured me that they were going off of the info they got directly from kangertech. they are making it right with me. they were also under the impression it was solid stainless.

i bought mine from myfreedomsmokes, and their exact language in their ad online is "pyrex glass tank and solid stainless steel construction"

what vendor did you get yours from Orson?

I got it from a local vendor that sets up once a week at another business, not sure if they have a website.

KangerTech's own website describes them as "Protank Clearomizer (glass and iron made) heating coil is replaceable" Stainless steel is a iron alloy, so that would make sense. Brass is copper and zinc alloy. Are you sure you didn't get the clone from Kamry?

It came in the protank jewlery case box with the Kanger seal intact. I contacted the vendor and he said they definitely came directly from Kanger and it's definitely made of brass.

no actually i think they are all the same. most of the vendors advertise them as "stainless steel" though. from what ive been able to acertain, it isnt the dealers fault really. ive talked to like 5-6 of them yesterday and every one of them said they were under the im pression they were solid stainless and glass, not chrome plated brass and glass.....if they were stainless, the price on these would be reasonable. $18 dollars for a piece of chrome plated brass? no friggin way.......... it, im going to just break down and buy a cobra tank. 150+ bucks, but you know what your getting...
