It seems that BA has been temporarily banned. I think it's ironic that he would get banned for speaking out about protests.

Not banned...... the powers that be gave him a "time out" to breath and for name calling (it would appear).
Let it go, and lets hope Ryan's day today is a better one (as well as those also affected by all this G20 mess) !

It seems to me that you are mad at the wrong people. The Police are there to try and keep the situation under control but what the protesters are doing is completely unacceptable. I am sure we will be seen videos over the coming months about what the police were doing and how wrong it was or something some officer did that was inappropriate. The other 99% are there to protect the public peace What I find remarkable about all the protesting is I have no idea what it's about. The news services are flooded with how violent or how bad it is I have not see anything on what they are protesting. At first look it appears they are protesting the G20 which is just ridiculous. If there intent is to bring attention to their cause and educate me joe public, then they might as well just pack up and go home because that battle has been lost.

Please don't misunderstand me I believe that people should speak their minds. I believe that the government should be challenged when you feel it is wrong. I think Canadians in general do not do assert themselves enough. But if I had something to say I sure would not want to be associated with what I see is going on down there at the G20.

Real protesters that actually want to be heard get their point across peacefully. Once people start breaking windows and setting things on fire, they just become criminals and vandals and no one listens anymore.

The biggest problem with this kind of thing is that it only brings higher fences and more security and increases the insulation around an already detached leadership.

Its actually quite sad when the leaders of the world believe they need to clear out an entire city and keep everyone blocks away from them. How could they possibly be in touch with the real world from such distance.

the thing is that it isn't one protest it's every protest...every little group out there to protest for their cause is there...so they're shouting over each other...

I think to that placing the "free speach" protest area so far from the actual summit location could also be partially to blame...yeah sure they had a closed TV camera feed to the summit....but really who's to say that the volume didn't just get turned off...

so now you have protesters that came from wherever further frustrated that they arent being heard...a huge fence that went in and to do so they uprooted trees mailboxes, people etc..

in addition to the OPP not being able to handle things themself so they had to hire private security as well who supposedly don't have the same authority as police but also don't have the oversite or anyone to immediately answer to....

I think all of that was a recipie for trouble before it even got started
