Tip, ha ha ... tip - The mouthpiece or some advice that may be helpful. Bad joke PU. Anyway....

I bought the G4 Cartos thinking it was going to be the thing, the holy grail, the ever lasting sweet spot. Mine arrived in the mail in record time, two days west to east coast. I couldn't wait to fill em up. Picked out a fav juice and did some filling...oh boy... hey, what the heck. How is that juice getting in there? I used a darker juice on the next one and could see as it slid down the tube and on down filling up the the coil/wick chamber. Not gonna get much vape that way. The coil was flooded and the juice proceeded on down and out the air holes, center and side air holes. The direction on my box were clear enough but they left out an important step.

when it's time to replace the tip, mouthpiece, make sure the center tube is lined up with the center of the tip and PUSH IT IN until only one or two ridges of the tip stick out of the mouthpiece. Actually I think it will only go in so far. It's importqant that the correct piece is used. A drip tip may fit and sort of work, but the original tip makes the carto work as it should and control the juice flow. The cartos works great now. The vape and flavor are pretty good so far.

Thanks to all those that have reported on the anybody get their hands g4 cartomizers yet thread, that's where I found the information and help. Below is a link to the thread. I don't know to do it so it looks cool.

I hope I did this correctly. and it helps a few folks.

Yeah I've noticed they perform better with no mouthpiece.

Perhaps the inner tube needs widening and the outer tube needs to be longer to accommodate more juice.

If you are vaping them at 3.7v, try them at 5v (using a passthrough if needed). They are so much better at 5v that it's not funny.

What resistance is the cartomizer? I saw 2.5 ohm somewhere.. the one I'm using tested out at 4 ohms, can't get any taste out of it at 3.7v. At 6v I can taste about half the flavour that I get from a Boge filler carto.. not terribly impressed, it's like the eGo-T all over again..

It does not look to me like the ribs where ever designed to be pushed into the carto that just seems silly . Holding it up to the light I can see the center tube fitting into the cap the way I think it should . No issues for me on the first one I am trying on a provari at 5.2v . G4 measured 4ohms .

Some have said to push it all the way in. And others like yourself not so much. I have had success using my method. I tried a drip tip and it ran all over the place, couldn't seal the juice.
Look inside the cap and there is a void between the ends of the mouthpiece. I push mine in until the inner tube was pushing against the inside of the outside tip.

That's best I think but I think the G4 in general is a dud . I won't be buying again .

At a high voltage they perform ok since the high voltage tends to vaporize the juice quicker which helps avoid coil clogging.

Push the mouthpiece down so 25% of it is sticking out.

The G5 mouthpiece is a better design and much easier to insert. But the G5's tend to leak through the threads a lot possibly due to the KR808 thread design. If the G5's were available with 510 threading and had lower ohms, they would be great for when out and about.

I found that the black short mouthpiece from an old CE2 worked perfect as a replacement on my new G4s. The ones that come with them stick out too far and have a tendency to fall off. I too looked at them and tried to push them in farther than the wider ribs on the top of them, but the didn't seem to want to go down past that.

I've run a couple tanks through on one of them, and haven't had much of a problem wicking with my 25% VG juice. The only times I've dried the coils out was when it gets low and I set the thing on its side.

Don't know what ohms they measure at...I don't have a multi-tester to find out, but I haven't had a problem with vapor production or flavor. Then again, I've only put menthol juice through.

My only complaint so far is the amount of air flow...a little too much for my liking. I end up having to take huge Darth Vader sounding drags.

Oh, that and the fact that I first thought that all 5 I got in the box were DOA, until I realized that the battery just wasn't making a connection. I have to fiddle with the middle post on the cartos a little to get them popped out far enough to make a connection.
