You are fundamentally right, however...

If I go to GV and click on Phonenix I find some disagreable matters. 1) The text describes them as 510 items and the photos show them as 510 type. 2) They are indicated as 'syringe fill.' I'd rather not have to use tools to fill a carto.

Maybe I'm missing something.

The pheonix is a bottom coil, just like your G4s in appearance I think. Which is why I thought you'd be into it :)

They are coming in top coils soon as well at got vapes

Last night I ordered 3 Echo CE4's (I think that's what they are). These are short wick models. While I 'had' been waiting for long wick 808 models, I read 'somewhere' that the long wicks weren't working well for some and they were cutting the wicks short. I suppose I can lay my box mod down do keep the wicks wet.

Skelly -

Thanks for the PBusardo's review of The G4 Cartomizer.

Let me start by outlining the versions I have used.

Ver. 1.0 - The initial release from GotVapes, short mouthpiece, filter paper around the outside of the cup at the bottom.

Ver. 1.5 - A small release with an taller center tube which is nearly flush with the top of the carto and a deeper mouthpiece. The filter paper is around the outside of the bottom cup in this version as well. This 'might' be the version PBusardo used in his review, except that his doesn't appear to have filter paper. I still have one of these.

Ver. 2.0 - This version has the filter paper inside the bottom cup. The mouthpiece is different. It is platic with a metal plated rim at the top. The bottom of the mouthpiece has a rubber application which seals to the center tube.

Ver. 1.0 was prone to leakage, cracking and leaking through the battery hole. The cap came off very easy, even in my shirt pocket. It was prone to dry hits.

Ver. 1.5 had the improved mouthpiece and longer center tube. I don't recall the dry hit situation, but I suspect had some. Though PB had difficulties with the cap, it may be that he had an otherwise V1 carto. Well...I have to admit I've used none of mine with a tool belt as PB was commenting he did.

Ver. 2.0 does not generally leak. The mouthpieces are great and can be used with tpyical metal cartos. This is great for HV metal cartos as the mouthpiece is a graat insulator.

Commentary: It appears that PBusardo is using something like a Ver. 1 with a Ver. 2 mouthpiece and no apparent filter paper. Some of the variations he is getting may be due to the lack of that filter paper.

My recall isn't that great on the performance of the V 1.5 model. I am in gernal agreement with PBusardo's review regaring good, clean taste.

I've had several recent Version 2s. The first box seemed to draw a fair amount of juice up the center tube. The 2nd box, purchased at the same time from the same vendor, seems to do much better. I get some condensation/juice up the center tube, but typically less than that PBusardo shows. I typically have 1/16" liquid in the center. PB is right, it can easly be blown out into a napkin. It also does not draw into the mouth unless doing an extended toke. It occassionally builds up to a point that one starts to get some in the mouth.

PB says it's great when it works and I agree. I think the V2's work more consistently than what PB demonstrated. I have a box of 5 yet unopned from Vapors, Etc. (now RWVapors - Ross Walker) and 3 left in a box from GotVapes.

Bottom Line for me: They vape well, the small amount of juice/condensate is occassionaly a nuisance, but overcomable.

The V2 I am currently vaping is doing well and presently at 5.6 Volts. The carto meters at about 3.3 Ohms. They have 'pretty good' throat hit and clean flavor.

RWVapors is continuing to sell Ver. 2, 3.0 Ohm 808 G4's for $5.95 for a 5 pack.

Great info all in one post and thanks for taking the time to catch me up to speed on the G4's!

The one PB shows looks like the new CE3's if the atomizer head and center post was metal and with a different tip of course.

Things seem to be evolving fast as new releases are coming out one right after another.
Either that or I'm getting slower and slower...lol.
